A: That is correct. Quantum currently does not supply a strap with the battery pack. It does have a belt clip built into it. If you regard the Accessories tab on this product link, we do feature two different clamp options which will allow you to connect the battery pack to a stand via its built-in clip, and there is also the option of the strap listed as well.

A: One needs to have the battery in the Canon Speedlite EL-1 in order to power it with the Quantum Instruments Turbo SC Battery Pack for Portable Flashes (US / Canada / Japan Plug). The internal battery is always needed to control the Speedlite. One can then set in the custom setting what power source is used to charge the flash head for firing.

A: While I do not see IATA approval for specific batteries, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries are allowed both in carry-on baggage in the aircraft cabin and in checked baggage. The batteries must be protected from damage and short circuit or installed in a device. This may involve the freight forwarder correctly indicating the required text on the air waybill, when an air waybill is used. The UN Number “UN 3496” is not a UN Number used in air transport and should not be used in association with the description of the goods."
