This cine-style prime lens supports full-frame capture and in 4:3 produces a 2.4:1 de-squeezed image. Use the Great Joy 1.8x Anamorphic lens series to add an appealing cinematic look with enhanced oval bokeh and amber flares to your footage. The T2.9 maximum aperture enables you to capture shallow depth of field looks that help emphasize and separate your subject from the background.

Cine-style design features include 0.8 MOD focus and aperture gears for use with pro follow focus systems, a 1/4"-20 lens support thread, an 85mm front diameter, and a barrel with 270° of rotation for precise focus pulls. Focus marks are provided in meters only.

This lens is so smooth and fast that everything I point it at turns to MAGIC. I paired this lens with my Canon EOS RP. The clarity of the image is stunning. Had an old first gen EF 50/1.8 with plastic mount. The RF version is a lot sharper and feels much more solid, not to mention makes the whole setup significantly smaller on R cameras, no need for adopter. Did not try it for video, but works great for photography. 5

As much as I prefer USM to STM, it's still in my mind a critical lens to add to any kit. It's just as good as previous versions, and in many ways better (metal mount, solid construction). 5

The price is amazing for what this lens can do. IF you want to take it everywhere with you its great because of the size. Quality is incredible too. Bokeh is smooth like butter and makes you want to take it everywhere and go out and shoot. 5

This Canon RF 50mm has been wonderful to use, especially at its price point. The autofocus can be a bit slow compared to a typical L lens, but the photos are sharp and look beautiful! 5
