Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I can't find any specs. Does anyone know if the phone filters actually protect the phone camera?

A: The only information B&H has is from the manufacture website: https://www.eclipseglasses.com/products/solar-snap-the-eclipse-app

Q: 2. Will these fit over prescription eyeglasses?

A: American Paper Optics Eclipser HD Solar Glasses are curved out, therefor is easy to stack them on top of prescription glasses. However depending on the size of your glasses this product may not be a good fit.

Q: 3. Is the diameter of the actual filter part?

A: The diameter of the actual solar filter on the Celestron EclipSmart Universal Solar Filter is 63.5mm.

Q: 4. How many degrees does this attachment move, both vertically and horizontally?

A: I would have to say about 15 maybe 30 degrees each way total travel. I bought mine for the last super moon. Had a 1600mm lens attached to this and was easily able to track the movement of the moon. At 1600 mm I had to constantly shift both axis and it did a great job. It is not super fast, meaning the threads on the adjustments are pretty fine, so if you are trying to track birds of something moving you will have to crank pretty quickly to keep up. But if that bird lands on a branch and you zoom an and want to adjust to frame the shot properly you can easily do it with some practice.

Q: 5. how much after 'free' one month no-contract data plan? and Should the 12 AA batteries be rechargeable ones?

A: Plans for the Bushnell CelluCORE 20 Solar Cellular Trail Camera are currently available at $9.99 and $14.99. It is not recommended to use rechargeable batteries. Lithium batteries are the recommended option.

Q: 6. I'm considering these for my Mom. She wanted some theater glasses stronger than normal. Are these too big to fit into an evening or small purse and/or do you know if they come with a cord or anything to go around the neck? Any other items you recommend I buy along with these?

A: My Mom likes hers. They are approximately 4.5 x 2.75 when opened up, and the barrels are 1.75 at their beltline. The bag they travel in is 4.5 x 6 when laid flat. I don't think there was a chain, but we got a matching brass chain. So they are very nice opera glasses, stronger than the usual glasses. One thing, we had to put a little bit of medium thread lock on the set screw to keep it from working loose--easily done. Can't think of any other accessories that would be needed.

Q: 7. It recommends Lithium batteries but I supposed to use the solar capability it needs a rechargeable battery instead?

A: One can use any AA batteries in the Bushnell CelluCORE 20 Solar Cellular Trail Camera. However, Energizer® lithium batteries are recommended. Alkaline batteries may be used but battery life will be shorter. Rechargeable batteries are not recommended. The Solar Panel has its own built in rechargeable battery.

Q: 8. Does the handle telescope for more comfortable holdin?

A: Yes this handle extends for comfort. It is adjustable.

Q: 9. Will they work over prescription glasses?

A: The cardboard glasses will not work well with eyewear. Instead, these would fit over most eyeglasses: https://bhpho.to/3uUbpdd

Q: 10. I'm looking at the CelluCore 20 solar powered camera. It mentions AT&T or Verizon. What provider does it use in Canada?

A: The Bushnell CelluCORE 20 Solar Cellular Trail Camera BH #BU119904S • MFR #119904S only utilizes AT&T or Verizon cellular data plans North America (USA or Canada)

These are on the NASA approved site, so I feel very confident in using them. They are sturdy and very well made, not at all flimsy. Size is adjustable too, can bend arms for different size heads.

Thanks for a great product at a very reasonable price!
