I was afraid to use it, but ... after a couple of video lessons, I was good to go. I became comfortable enough to connect it to my Godox Ving V860III TTL Li-Ion Flash Kit (for Nikon Cameras) and have enjoyed my photo experiences since then. I might need more flashes.

BTW ... had a slight hiccup when I placed my order, but Izzy G took care of me right away. Thank you, Izzy!

First off let me say that I am a Godox fan. Speedlights, studio strobes, modifiers, AD200 and AD400, and the original xPro trigger. I shoot real estate and use flash in certain circumstances. The Godox XPro doesn't handle white balance for a multitude of reasons and many have recommended isolating the single pin connect on the trigger so it won't interfere with the white balance. WELL the new XPro II has that feature built in now so I was thrilled to buy it and try it out.

For whatever dumb reason, Godox did not make it compatible with the 6D MK II but it works with the 6D and my old as dirt 5D MK II. Check that, it did work once but only once. Works fine with all pins active just when you use the "Legacy hot shoe" mode it will not fire the flash.

I'm bummed.

UPDATE - tried again because I couldn't figure out why it worked and then it didn't. Seems center pin isolation (legacy mode) will not work when you're using Live View. Not sure why but it's true!

Much more tactile feel than its predecessor, has a better locking mechanism, and some of the functions of the buttons are simplified and thus intuitive. Seems like the battery life is about the same if not a tiny bit better than the original XPro trigger as well.

Worth the price over the previous unit, though I probably wouldn't upgrade if the original one was still working.

I had the previous version and struggled with the battery compartment being too big and the batteries loosing contact. The XPROII resolves that and I have never experienced a power drop out. A pair of AAs goes a long way. I like that the function buttons on the left side allowing you to disable a channel when needed. There is a trick to Godox triggers, it has to be the LAST THING TO BE POWERED ON; after the camera, and after the strobes, especially the strobes. If the exposure values on the trigger do not match any of the strobes, power cycle the trigger. Keep an eye on those values to be sure that when you make an adjustment on the trigger, the change is reflected on the strobe. I shoot with Fuji cameras, XH2S, XH2, X100V and Godox V1s and this trigger has worked very well for the 3 months that I have owned it.
