A: You can use four of the Olympus ME-33 Boundary Microphones to record in a stereo configuration, with two mics on the left and two on the right. Up to three ME-33 mics can be used together in one line or six mics in two separate lines for a stereo setup. For a stereo setup, you can use a recorder with two separate inputs or use a Y-adapter the Kopul 3.5mm Stereo Y Cable (B&H # KOHPSSM) for a recorder with a single 3.5mm mic input. A: The mics themselves are identical. The Z is meant to be part of a Zoom conferencing system. The Z ships with mounting tape, a right angle USB cable and also sports a blue LED to match the Zoom color. The non Z does not sport an LED light. If you have a Zoom system, consider the Z version, otherwise the non Z is fine.
