With a modular design capable of mounting in various configurations, this Pro Car Mounting System from MOVMAX achieves dynamic traveling visuals from virtually any angle. The system includes six aluminum rods which measure 1.8" in diameter and 2.8' in length. Dual rod locking clamps, rod connectors, and suction cups with rod locking clamps attach them to each another and your car in various orientations.

Mount your gimbal rig on the front, side, or rear of your vehicle in both low- and high-angle positions. A dynamic load capacity range of 176 to 286.6 lb supports most cameras and accessories. The entire system and its tools fit into the included flight case for easy transport.

A: If the fiberglass is perfectly smooth and clean and free of debris it should work yes. You should always back up with a safety tethering cable.

I used this product a with shots where I didn't want to see the Mic on our talent. It is well concealed and does not impact the quality of the recording. It is a firmer silicone than I expected, which is probably intended for firmly gripping the Mics. One side of the mount has a shroud which is good for very thin mics such as the Sanken. Yet it is also wide enough to handle standard mics. Despite being sandwiched between clothes and skin, the mount do not create rubbing noise to the recording. Lastly, I tested this setup using 2 mics at once. It successfully captured it ease. This is a great item to add to your audio arsenal. The only slight downside is that the adhesive is hard to peal off, and you have to make it adheres to the silicone firmly. If you need a quick setup on the fly, this will be a little hard to use. However you can be prepared by adding the adhesive strip ahead of time. 5

This microphone mounting system is an ingenious idea. You cannot hear the noise of the mic brushing up against clothes, and it holds the mic securely to any surface. It only comes with a handful of tape to secure it, so I would reccomend purchasing skin safe two-sided tape as well. 5
