Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Polsen cardioid is compatible with Polsen UWM-2?

A: Yes, the Polsen Cardioid Lavalier Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser and Polsen UWM Transmitters is compatible for use with the transmitters that are included with the Polsen UWM-2 2-Person Camera-Mount Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System.

Q: 2. Due to the large size of the included mic I am looking for a compatible mic with a smaller head. My Senal UTM-86 LAV MIC w/3.5mm-SENN does work, but the audio levels are very low. Could the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone with its Operating Voltage or Plug-In Power of 1.5 to 5 V be used with the F2? Will the F2 provide enough power to the Rode to give the necessary audio levels? Or which mic could be recommended?

A: Yes, like the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic with 3.5mm Connector for Sennheiser & Senal Wireless Transmitters, the Rode Lavalier II Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is a suitable option for use with the Zoom F2 Ultracompact Portable Field Recorder.

Q: 3. Is it compatible with the Sennheiser FreePort lavalier kit?

A: Theoretically, yes. The Sennheiser Freeport wireless system is no longer available and as such cannot be tested with current products. Nonetheless, the wiring on the Freeport is the same as the EW wireless systems- and the UTM-86-35H is designed to work specifically with the Evolution Series wireless system. There should be no issue.

Q: 4. Does this come with the clip or safety pins?

A: No, the Remote Audio URSA Pouch for Wireless Transmitters does not include any clips or safety pins.

Q: 5. Does it interfere with the DJI Wireless Mic like the Rode Lavalier Go?

A: The Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic would not be recommended for use with the DJI Mic because of its locking connector, which has been known to block connection with the DJI Mic's transmitter units.

Q: 6. Hi, I bought this mic, but the little windscreen/pop filter fell apart after a while of use. Where can I get a replacement?

A: The Auray WLF-018-3 Foam Windscreens for 1/8" Diameter Microphones - 3 Pack (B&H # AUWLF0183) is a pack of three compatible replacement windscreens for the Senal UTM-86-35H Lavalier Mic.

Q: 7. omni vs cardioid which is better for speaking?

A: Both are very popular for speaking. Cardioid tends to be more ideal for spaces with lots of background noise. Omnidirectional tends to be more ideal for spaces with minimal background noise.

Q: 8. can this be mounted to a 4x4 junction box?

A: The Shure MXWAPT2 2-Channel Access Point Transceiver with ANIUSB-MATRIX USB Audio Network Interface BH #SHWAPT2Z10US includes a mounting plate. It may be possible to mount it to a 4 x 4 electrical junction box. We do not recommend any modifications of this product however.

Q: 9. Will this work with a Shure bodypack?

A: This model is only compatible with Line 6 transmitters. For compatibility with Shure transmitters, you want to use B&H # COH7BSL instead.

Q: 10. Is there an adapter for Sennheiser EK 100?

A: The Sennheiser EK 100 is a wireless receiver. The SK 100 is a wireless transmitter. This particular Senal UEM-155-TA4F-BE Omni Earset Microphone has a TA4F connector for use with transmitters from Shure. Instead of an adapter, there is a Senal UEM-155-35H-BE Omni Earset Microphone with 3.5mm Locking Connector for Sennheiser Transmitters (B&H # SEUE15535HBE).

This battery charges up, fits and works in my older model mike, replacing the Ni-Cad it came with originally.
