Continuing the fine Altstar tradition of offering acoustic instruments that any electric player would love, the Jungle Green Metallic Altstar ALT30 from Ibanez is a versatile acoustic/electric hybrid guitar with a supremely comfortable maple neck sporting a Comfort Grip contour design that is incredibly easy to play. With a beautiful spruce top, sapele back and sides, and a walnut bridge and fretboard, the ALT30 sounds wonderful, featuring a natural warm tone that is balanced enough to go from low to high with ease.

Like all Altstar guitars, the ALT30 sports a compact dreadnought body, a 15.7" fretboard radius, tighter-than-average string spacing, and a 25.5" scale neck, along with a single cutaway and a neck joint at the 16th fret, rather than the 12th for superior upper-fret access. The built-in AEQ-2UT and undersaddle pickup provide an ideal option for live performances, letting you plug into any sound system via the 1/4" output. Additionally, the preamp system comes with a convenient onboard tuner.

Ibanez has historically offered acoustic instruments that electric guitarists would find inviting and easy to play. Altstar models are the perfect option for the aspiring electric player with a drive to explore the world of acoustic guitars. Whether you're just looking to delve into the world of acoustic guitars or seeking a quieter practice option while maintaining an electric guitar feel, this is your axe.

The integrated preamp and undersaddle pickup ensure clean amplification of your acoustic guitar tone during performances. The preamp module features 2-band bass and treble adjustment for tone, as well as a volume knob for adjusting output gain. Plus, you get a handy tuner, so you never have to worry about forgetting your tuner at home again.

The Ibanez Advantage bridge pins are an advantage over old-fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins.

A special bulb-shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage, the pin and string stays put.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this an led light source?

A: I haven't yet purchased this, but disposal warnings noting a mercury hazard strongly suggest a flourescent light source.

Q: 2. Is it safe to use it on a computer motherboard, fans, graphics card, etc?

A: Yes this can be used for computer components like motherboards, fans, & graphics cards.

Q: 3. What is the difference between the ED 500 and the 500 P? Can I use one of them to clean slides before scanning them?

A: I can't answer about the difference between the 500 and the 500 P, but my experience says I do not believe either would be good for cleaning slides (assuming they are photographic, 35 mm slides). The unit I have has a sponge filter on the bottom but this is insufficient to remove the smaller dust particles that would easily get through. The motor is very powerful.

Q: 4. Am mailing from Lagos Nigeria and i would like to get the data vac electric duster Ed500 220-240v so pls how can i go about it?

A: You may calculate your actual shipping options/order totals by adding the items you want to a shopping cart. It will then list the shipping options, descriptions, ETA's and fees to your location.

Q: 5. Is the light area 4 x5 or is that the total size dimensions?

A: It is the light area. Very even light. I will use it to photograph negatives and then develop in Lightroom.

Q: 6. Does this have night vision?

A: No; but awesome clarity in low lighting conditions; dawn, dusk

Q: 7. Are the attachments for this ESD safe or is another model recommended for safest use on computer components, etc?

A: Metrovac makes another version that is designed to be Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safe. It includes a grounded plug and a grounded wrist strap. Model #ME117117506, https://bhpho.to/2UyyoYK.

Q: 8. Is it loud?

A: I wear ear protection when I use it in my studio - but it's still a fantastic unit.

Q: 9. Does it filter air it lets in?

A: it does have a foam filter on the bottom that you would clean out as needed that filters the air.

Q: 10. In Sweden we have 230V.. I guess it will still work there as according to a previous question it works in Australias 240V.Will it work in Sweden?

A: Hi Oskar,I think it will work properly in Sweden, I use it in Israel where we have 220V and on the device itself it says 230V so i guess it will be fine. The exact spec written on it is this: 230V 50Hz 2.3A

With just the medium sized nozzle gives great airflow/pressure. Only bad part is mostly how noisy it is; don't use it during quiet times. Weirdly, the duster comes with a spring peg for attatchments, but the nozzles do not come with a matching hole.

We have bought enough canned air in the past to have bought several of these DataVac Duster units. We use it to remove debris from all our keyboards, and other hard to reach places. Thanks for a great product.

I'll try not to rehash the information available from the manufacturer, but it really is a great replacement for canned air. I previously read reviews that stated it doesn't blow as strongly as canned air, which might technically be true compared to the first bursts of air from a can. But most cans eventually stop blowing hard after a few seconds until they're re-warmed, whereas the Electric Duster has a constant, forceful air stream. The manufacturer says it only costs about the same as 5 cans of air dusters. That might be true of large, non-flammable canned air, but I found the price comparable to between 15-20 of the cheapest cans available generally from hardware/department stores. Although it has a power switch, the constant air flow of the Electric Duster takes getting used to compared to intermittent bursts from cans. Previously I would do little burst of air to remove dust, but now if I'm not careful it will continue to force dust all over the place. That can be good and bad, but if used together with a vacuum cleaner, the airborne dust can be collected and controlled and I don't have to worry about wasting extra money with prolonged blowing. The unit is a bit larger and heavier than I expected, but the handle provides a great grip and the flexible tube and little attachments make up for the awkwardness of the unit's size and weight. The cord is long enough to use without need for an extension cord most of the time. It is rather loud, but it was expected and an acceptable trade-off for savings on cans, etc. Finally, although the manufacturer makes other products specifically for inflating things like air-mattresses, I think this could be used for that same purpose if care is taken not to let it overheat. The various adapters make it compatible with all sort of air nozzles.

I bought the data vac electric duster to help me deal with all the dust drawn to my computer, and home theatre components. I have purchased cans of compressed air to deal with this before at about $5 a pop. Never again! Enter my never-ending supply! Construction: Solid metal with plastic handle and attachments. You know it's in your hand when you hold it. But, it's not so heavy your hand will tire. Use: Wow! Don't be fooled by its small size because it packs a punch! However, not so hard that you would worry about damaging any components. In addition you can change the area and rate of flow by using the attachments. One of such is shaped like a straw which is perfect for my computer. It is loud! But did you expect any different? * Don't wear out your computer cooling fan bearings by blowing the air directly into them. Stick a pencil between the blades as you blow them clean. Value: I bought this for the cost of 9 cans of air. It is built to last me a lifetime. Score 10/10. Thanks B&H!
