The XP106 features a 6" woofer and a 1" high-frequency driver. A lightweight, 100-watt Class-D amplifier, matched to its drivers for high efficiency and low current draw, powers the XP106. The unit's rechargeable battery also increases the system's portability, allowing for up to 20 hours of continuous use wherever great sound is needed.

The XP106's 4-channel mixer features multiple input options with separate level controls, including an XLR-1/4" combo channel (for a dynamic handheld mic and other Mic/Line level devices), a 1/4" channel (guitars and other line-level devices), a 3.5mm channel (MP3 players, keyboards, etc.) and a Bluetooth channel to wirelessly stream music from your smartphone, tablet, or laptop. The XP106 also has a Line Out to cascade multiple systems together and expand your sound as well as a Music/Speech switch for optimizing output EQ for speech or music playback.

The XP106 can be used by teachers, professors, instructors, and lecturers alike. The system's 100 watts of power is able to fill medium to large classrooms with sound, while its lightweight design, top carry handle, and 20 hours of battery life allows the XP106 to be used by tour guides and mobile lecturers.

Whether you're at a backyard party, company picnic, or just relaxing by the pool, the XP106 delivers an outdoor music listening experience. Pair the XP106 with your smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth and DJ the party while in the midst of all the fun. Use the wireless mic to make speeches, toasts, and other announcements commemorating a festive occasion with family and friends. With a 20-hour battery life, you can keep the party going well into the night.

From PowerPoint presentations and product demonstrations to company meetings and corporate events, the XP106 gives you full-range sound to convey your ideas in a clear, concise manner. Speakers can take advantage of the included mic, or the system's 3.5mm stereo Aux input can be used to amplify the sound of your MP3 player or computer presentation.

When it comes to live music, the XP106 can be used in small venues such as coffee houses and studio spaces. Beyond the included mic, delivering vocal performances to the XP106, the system's onboard mixer lets you bring guitars, keyboards, and other instruments into the mix. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have an iPhone 6S which I’m using for recording yoga classes however I can’t seem to get the Samson sound to come through the recording I had no problem using iPad to record both video and sound with Samson 106 and have followed the same steps?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. We want to make sure we get you up and running. We'd like to take some more time in depth and run through your connections and set up. Please send an email to us at support@samsontech.com. From there, I'll be able to help you go through your connections and see how we can get this resolved! If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James (Product Specialist)

Q: 2. Can I pair two receivers with a single transmitter? I want one receiver at the front of the room for the PA, and the other near the rear of the room for the video camera so I don't have to run cables.

A: We have not tested the Samson XPD2 wireless system using two receivers. It may not work so well since the receiver is built into a USB stick and needs to be powered by USB, which isn't a good option for use with a camera and you could have delay with the audio going to the camera. If you do need to send the audio from the PA to the camera wirelessly, you may want to use a separate wireless system that accepts line level input signal like the Wi Digital Wi AudioStream Pro AV Portable Digital Wireless Lavalier System (B&H # WIASPAV). We do have other options if you want to use a different wireless mic system with a headset mic and two receivers. Please contact our pro audio department by phone or through live chat on the website and we can assist you to find the best option for your needs.

Q: 3. The description says it works with iPads, does it work with iPhones, and if so, are any additional adapters needed?

A: This wireless mic system will work with iOS devices, such as iPhones and iPads, with the addition of an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter, BH #APMLUCADP.

Q: 4. Roughly how much does the speaker weigh?

A: About 10 pounds maybe? I can pick it up with one hand, but it isnt the lightest. If carryng more than a few feet, I need to use two hands.

Q: 5. Would this connect to the JVC GY-HM250 or other camcorder?

A: The Samson XPD2 Headset USB Digital Wireless System was not intended for use with a camera, but it can be adapted to work. The receiver for the XPD2 System requires USB bus power, so it will need to be connected to a USB wall charger or a USB power bank, like you would use to charge a smartphone, and the output from the receiver's 3.5mm headphone jack can be connected to an audio input on the camera using a standard aux cable like the Kopul CMX-RC30 Right-Angle Coiled Stereo Mini Cable (B&H # KOCMXRC30B).

Q: 6. Can I use a second speaker so that I can use one wireless mic to broadcast from both speakers?

A: The Samson Expedition XP106 Portable PA System with Wired Handheld Mic & Bluetooth can be paired with another speaker via cable using its "Line Out" 1/4" output connection.

Q: 7. Can you use the mic and the headset at the same time so two people can be presenting simultaneously?

A: Samson Portable PA Kit you can only use one mic at a time.

Q: 8. Can I change the wireless microphone frequencies?

A: No you cannot change the frequencies on the Samson Portable PA Kit.

Q: 9. since I don't like BT can I use a line-in Ipod and will it work with that? Thank you!

A: Yes it will: Audio I/O: 1 x Combo XLR-1/4" TRS Hi-Z/Mic Input 1 x 1/4" Line Input 1 x 1/8" / 3.5 mm Aux Input 1 x 1/4" Line Output
