The camera side LONGSPAN Max Hi-PoE Extender from Veracity enables the transmission of 802.3bt (90W) PoE to an IP camera or remote network device. This unit receives PoE power from the base side extender (available separately) and transmits it via Cat 6 or Cat 5e cable to the camera or IP device.

Featuring an unrestricted 10/100 Mb/s full-duplex network connection, this unit self-configures for optimum performance every time it is connected and eliminates the need for user setup, DIP switch settings, and system pairings. Built-in surge protection minimizes system failure in the event of voltage and current spikes.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi I am wondering how smooth the PT movements are. Does the "step motor" mean it moves in noticeable steps or is it a smooth motion. Would it be realistic to incorporate the PT move in the video broadcast or is it just for repositioning the camera while not to line? Thanks.

A: The pan/tilt/zoom mechanism uses an accurate step driving motor and functions quiet and smooth.

Q: 2. supports loop output?

A: Yes, the ANDYCINE A6 Max 6" Touchscreen HDMI On-Camera Monitor supports HDMI loopout.

Q: 3. Can this be controlled with Blackmagic Design's ATEM software?

A: This camera is currently not on the Blackmagic Design list of compatible ATEM devices.

Q: 4. Does it have a straight or angled Plug ?

A: The Kensington Hi-Fi Headphones (BH # KEK33137) features a straight, 3.5mm mini connector.

Q: 5. Is the Universal Rotating NATO Side Handle compatible with this cage?

A: No, the following SmallRig Camera Cage was only really designed and made to accommodate 3 attachments. Top Handle 2165, Cold Shoe Extension 2879, and Tripod BUT2664 for vlog shooting

Q: 6. I need to extend my network runs, possibly twice (resulting in 3 segments). The devices will not handle POE. Would the Outreach Lite work for this application or is there a better solution available?

A: This will allow you to extend your signal 3 times if needed but does not send POE.

Q: 7. Can the camera's IP address be set manually to fit our network?

A: Yes, that should be possible.

Q: 8. How does IP addressing work? Does the unit pull 4 IPs from my network or reuse 1? I am trying to determine if I will end up with a quad-display inside one of the camera zone's on my NVR.

A: All this unit does is convert the Ethernet signal to work over coax, your router will still provide each device with an IP address. You will still need the VHW-HWPS-C to make this work properly.

Q: 9. Can this camera be powered over it's Ethernet port?

A: yes this is a POE ptz and hence can be powered via POE (power over ethernet)

Q: 10. Is there a version that can screw in the RED RF-PL adapter top/bottom brackets to secure the adapter?

A: Wooden Camera does not offer a bracket like the Wooden Camera Side NATO Bracket for RED KOMODO that would also support the RED RF-PL adapter.
