I appreciate the size and the quality of this as a mobile modifier, accent/accessory lighting source; although it definitely could be used as a main light source. Even though it's a small unit it comes with a reflector plate and of course the outside diffuser and as a bonus at time of sale it also included a grid. Both fit/attach well on the umbrella and also the additional grid fits well within the supplied compact storage case very nicely. I do like, and I certainly knew what I was buying in regard to the mounting bracket to accommodate a speed light onto it; however I did also purchase the 48 inch unit which comes with a Bowens type mount, which requires purchasing another mounting bracket ($20) to use, but it is a little more versatile, accommodating a speed light as well as a larger unit such as a Godox AD200 flash unit. Good product that I would recommend although consideration for different style of flash mounting may be considered.

My assistant uses on a boom. Super light. Control the strobe with my Godox XPro. This is the way to go! I'm done with heavy battery packs.

You can't beat these flash light modifiers on a budget! They are very compact, easy to set up and come with a good carrying case. Highly recommended!

Got mine about almost two weeks ago and have been experimenting with it since receiving it. Impressions: A good quality, portable light modifier that is an excellent match for my Canon 600 EX-RT Speedlight. Produces beautiful studio quality light that's perfect for portrait photography. I would highly recommend this unit to any wedding/portrait photographer who uses speedlights on their jobs. A convenient way to get a studio look without the studio.

This octabox is comparable to two that purchased in the past made by a well respected manufacturer that cost me nearly three times as much and did not come with a grid. This unit is very well constructed and I am very pleased that I bought it. It goes up quickly and is very portable. The mount is very sturdy. You do not need a large and heavy speedlight for this size modifier. The smaller the light the better. I use my light between 2 and 3 feet from the subject and it just does not demand a lot of power output.

If you are interested in a fast and compact set up for your small flashes then this is it. I have this with the grid and if you need the extra control I'd suggest both. Everything easily fits in it's provided case and it's all really compact. All you would need is a nice reversible light stand to keep this a super small kit that you could take with you anywhere.

It's the first softbox I ever bought and it's really all I needed for my photography projects.
I like how easy it is to put together and also the bag in which it arrives which makes it so compact. It has everything I needed inside and I'm attaching some pictures so you'll see it for yourselves. The material seems very strong and good quality. I hope it stays intact after many uses.

I bought this hoping it would be easy to open/close and portable. This fits the bill perfectly. Build quality is nice and it seems like it will last. Love the ability to easily control light. A handle would be a nice addition to enable an assistant to easily move light around on the fly. With my set-up on a light stand, a weight bag is a necessity.

I am super satisfied with this brand. Cheaper than other brands and works better than others.
