Carry and stabilize your Tiltaing camera cage with the Tilta gray Lightweight Quick Release Top Handle from Tilta. This quick release top handle is smaller than the standard Tiltaing quick release handle and well suited for use with smaller cameras or when a smaller shooting package is desired. It features one shoe mount, a single 15mm rod port, and multiple 1/4"-20 and ARRI-style anti-twist 3/8"-16 threads.

This aluminum and stainless steel handle attaches securely to your camera cage using the included spring-loaded thumbscrew. The 15mm rod port features a thumb-lever fastener to secure a rod to the handle. In addition to cages, you can mount this on a variety of camera top plates, but please note that if used with a RED KOMODO, it can only be mounted backward on the top plate.

Being on location with the QR Plus Quick Release Plate prevents inadvertent tugs on the tether cord, keeps the camera from being damaged and prevents stops in daily workflow. Fantastic that it fits on an Arca Swiss head when I'm not caring the camera around. 5

Feels solid and sturdy, secures the tethering cable, thus reducing the unnecessary risk of the cable tripping up the photographer or the subject. Might recommend a d-ring on the screw but i’m no engineer so maybe that would create unintended issues. Regardless, well made, if budget allows, I would recommend. 5

I shoot tethered often and, probably not uniquely, have had a number of related problems. One of those was the inability of my other stuff (including an RRS L-bracket for my D810) to accommodate vertical position shooting while still holding the USB 3.0 cable securely in place. This plate has solved that problem - although it does require flipping my RRS BH-55 ball-head over into one of the slots. I have not found a better alternative; and, consider this very well made as well as thoughtfully designed. And, this is SOOO much better than the cheaper, poorer alternatives (such as TT Jerk-stopper... IMO). 5

This is my 2nd purchase of the TetherBLOCK QR. I shoot both 35mm and Medium format cameras in the studio, mounting a TetherBLOCK on each. I can't tell you how many times I would have disconnected my tether during a shoot without the aid of this device. A bit pricey however very well made. 5

I’ve fought a lot of connection issues and even had to have the USB port repaired once. This paired with the right angle micro USB creates a solid connection that hasn’t failed yet. And it’s so much easier to hand hold with this setup. 5
