A: The SanDisk Professional G-DRIVE ArmorATD USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 External Hard Drive is bus-powered (via Thunderbolt or USB 4), so there is no on/off switch.

A: Yes. The Rugged Mini is compatible with that setup.

A: I have purchased at least 50 of these, 2 and 4 terabytes, and they have all come with cables.

A: I don't see how you would do that. It has a USB cable that must be plugged into a computer as far as I can tell.

Q: 7. Does this model comes with the wraparound hidden cable?

A: This model does not have a built in cable.

Q: 8. How do you power off the drive?

A: I would suggest to safely remove the Buffalo 2TB DriveStation Axis Velocity USB 3.0 External Desktop Hard Drive by disconnecting it on the computer.

Q: 9. Will data on this hard drive be affected by magnets?

A: It would be highly recommended to keep the SanDisk Professional 2TB G-DRIVE ArmorATD USB-C 3.2 Gen 1 External Hard Drive away from any magnets.

Q: 10. can it be attached to the modem as a backup device ?

A: No this would not work.

This is my third LaCie Rugged Mini with the first being 1TB, the second 2TB and this 5TB. They all work as desired and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an affordable drive. I do a lot of work in the field for landscape photography where the rugged protection is vital. 5
