Q: 9. Where is B&H getting that this umbrella is safe for up to 1000 watts? Westcott's specifications web page for this item says the maximum is 300 watts.

A: I have seen other stores say the same thing as B&H rated at 1000 watts. My lights are 640 watt strobes and being a strobe there is no heat to speak of because the flash is so quick. My shoots will typically be around 300 hundred shots with zero issues. Continuous lights or hot lights as they are commonly called might be another thing.

Q: 10. Hi!I m conssidering buying this umbrella but i own a Godox ad 600 and a Dynaphos Expert QS-300.does anyone know if it s compatibble?

A: I recently purchased this. I use it with a Profoto D1 and a speedlight with an umbrella bracket. This is just a really, really big umbrella. So any flash with an umbrella mount should fit just fine.

This is a well-made umbrella with a fiberglass frame that should enhance durability. It is definitely better quality than some of the cheaper umbrellas I have. It came with a see-through plastic sleeve that clearly identifies its size and properties and closes with a plastic snap. All in all, a very good product. 5

Purchased this as a quick way to soften stobe lighting when using the Wescott Tri-flash holder outdoors. The combo affords me nice light using 100 ISO up to 15' away. The triple flash also lets me balance fill w/daylight in full sun conditions with the option for using E-TTL, if desired. Please notice from the attached photo that I did not mount $1500 worth of flashes to the umbrella shaft! I modified a Manfrotto QR plate w/stub to use the Tri-flash brackets more secure threaded mount. This helps too insure that my strobes don't change position, or worse, accidentally crash to the ground! Also, weight your stand outdoors as umbrellas will act as sails in the wind! Finally, use your flashes WA diffusion panel to distribute the light around the umbrella evenly. 5

Well made umbrella that produces a very nice, soft light with more punch than a pure white surface. The fiberglass ribs are a particularly nice feature and should hold up better than metal. 5
