Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work to pass TC from a Tentacle Sync TC box to an FX30?

A: No. The Deity Microphones C23 Timecode Cable has a locking 3.5mm connector and is intended for use with the Deity Microphones TC-1 Wireless Timecode Generator Box (B&H # DEDTT0272D80). The Tentacle Sync E mkII Timecode Generator has a non-locking 3.5mm connector which is not compatible with the C23 Timecode Cable.

Q: 2. Will this need to stay connected while recording, or can you jam & remove the TC generator?

A: The Deity Microphones C23 Timecode Cable for Sony FX3 / FX30 Cameras is intended to remain connected to the camera and TC-1 Timecode Generator. This allows timecode to be embedded directly to the footage metadata, rather than recording it to an audio track, so you can capture audio and timecode simultaneously, without having to sacrifice an audio track for timecode.

Q: 3. Is this battery-type rechargeable?

A: No, these Deity batteries are not rechargeable.

Q: 4. Can this be used with the Rode Wireless Pro and an FX3. Does it have any timecode delay issues?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones C23 Timecode Cable for Sony FX3 / FX30 Cameras should work without issue with the Rode Wireless PRO (Set to TC-only mode).

Q: 5. is compatible with a7iv the Deity C23 ?

A: I'm sorry, but the Sony A7 IV camera does not support meta-data for timecode as a dedicated input. Instead of using the Deity Microphones C23 Timecode Cable for Sony FX3 / FX30 Cameras , you should use the Deity C12 cable, which is included with the TC-1 unit: https://bhpho.to/3VRhbY2 . That cable will connect from the locking connector on the TC-1 to the mic input on your Sony A7 IV, and write the metadata onto the audio file.

Q: 6. What's the difference between this and the Sony VMC-BNCM1 cable?

A: The Deity Microphones C23 Timecode Cable uses a 3.5mm male timecode connector, while the Sony VMC-BNCM1 Timecode Adapter Cable has a BNC female timecode connector.

Q: 7. I already have a Remote Audio single bay charger. Could I use that to charge this battery?

A: The Deity Microphones S-95 Smart Battery is intended for use with the Deity Microphones DQC1 Smart Battery Charger (B&H # DEDTS0287D67). We are unable to confirm whether the Remote Audio HIQ1CH1 Single-Bay Charger for Hi-Q Batteries would work with the S-95 battery.

Q: 8. Only works with Phantom Power?

A: Yes, the Deity Microphones S-Mic 2S Shotgun Microphone operates using phantom power only.

Q: 9. Is this mic capable with the Sony a7 IV ?

A: The Deity Microphones S-Mic 2S Moisture-Resistant Short Shotgun Microphone requires a 48V-enabled XLR connection, which is not found directly on the Sony A7IV Camera. To connect the Deity S-Mic 2S to a camera such as the Sony A7IV you would need to implement a camera mixer such as BH #SASRPAX1 Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, which would provide the preamp needed by the Deity S-Mic 2S and calibrate the audio signal to the level expected by the Sony A7IV audio input.

Q: 10. How long is this cable?

A: The length of the Deity Microphones C19 Timecode Cable for Canon R5 C Camera has not been specified by the manufacturer.

We purchased this as a second battery for our Fuji X100 for photo shoots as well as travel. The X100 is a hungry little camera and goes through batteries quickly when shooting. The Pearstone battery is a GREAT alternative to the Fuji brand replacement. You can't beat the price! If you shoot with your X100 quite a bit, you need a few of these babies!

I purchased three of these batteries to use with a Fuji X100s. The Fuji version is more expensive. I find that these batteries are just as good if not better than the Fuji's and a lot less expensive. This is a really good value.

Don't buy the Fuji (to expensive) but don't go ultra cheap with your batteries.

It is a good battery and I even had a feeling that it lasts longer than original Fuji battery. So far very satisfied.

Batteries go fast in the x100s. But carrying extras are no problem. I have been switching between the OEM and one of these for a month now and I haven't run out on a shoot yet. AND, I can't see the difference with this and the OEM Other than the sticker stating that the OEM is 1700mAh vs this one being 1200mAh. In real world use I don't see any difference. Lasts just as long and charges just as fast at 2/3rds the cost... I haven't used any other third party batteries but I wouldn't hesitate to get another one of these.
