Once set on the awake mode, the camera will trigger much faster but will also use up more battery power. These seem to contradict each other. I would like to not have to wake up the camera to shoot. Does this cable do that or not?

A: If you use the cable with a MultiMAX or Plus III, it can pre trigger the remote. The camera may go to sleep, depending on what equipment you are using. If you add a PTMM, it will constantly keep the camera pre triggered and the camera will never sleep.

This Pocket Wizard Cable is a great cable for this connector for using remote capability and trigger release. Good length. Good quality. In other words the D800 and D750 require 2 different cables. A 10-pin connector cable for the D800; The N-MCDC2-ACC-1 Pocket Wizard Cable for the D750.

A: I hadn't though of that but I did a quick test and the camera triggering port seems to ignore the zones. You could program two channels and switch from C1 to C2 to fire different cameras. This was a very basic test, and that is what I saw.
