Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Anyone used this cable to trigger a Hasselblad X1D ii remotely?

A: The Profoto Male 1/4" Phono to Male 3.5mm Miniphone Cable - 11.8" can be used to trigger a Hasselblad X1D ii remotely

Q: 2. Does this work with The Flex TT6 transceiver?

A: No the following unit will not communicate nor provide TTL information.

Q: 3. Hi I have a canon R5 and siros broncolor which pack I have to buy to trigger from the can to my 2 broncolor siros ?

A: Instead of purchasing the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack listed above, it would be better to purchase the Broncolor RFS 2.2 C Transceiver for Canon, B&H # BRRFS2.2CT • MFR # B-36.160.00, for use with the integrated Broncolor RFS 2.1 Receiver inside the Broncolor Siros WiFi/RFS 2.1 Monolights. This would allow you to purchase a single (more economically-priced) on-camera transmitter to wirelessly trigger your monolights. If you choose to purchase the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack, you would need a total of three (3) remotes: one on the camera's hot shoe as a wireless radio transmitter, and one on each of the monolight strobes as a wireless radio receiver. If you use the Broncolor RFS 2.2 C Transceiver for Canon, you may also wirelessly control the monolights' output power wirelessly from the on-camera Broncolor transmitter. If you use the PocketWizard PlusX remotes, you will give up the power control features of the RFS transmitter.

Q: 4. Does the trigger cable work between the PlusX and the Canon 600EX-RT? (I am using the 5D MarkIII camera)

A: Hey, yes it does. I also have the same setup. One problem I'm having however is, when the speedlite (600EX-RT) goes to 'sleep', half pressing the shutter or pressing the TEST button on the trigger doesn't wake the flash up. You'll need to turn the flash off and on again if you wish to activate wireless triggering again.

Q: 5. will this remotely fire my canon 430exii shooting with my 5D mark iii? Thanks!

A: Yes. One PW goes on top of your camera and one is attached to your flash. Just use the included PC cord. If your flash does not have a PC plug on it you will have to buy an adapter that fits on the bottom of your flash..

Q: 6. will the PTMM connector sync shutter with flash?

A: If you have a Pocket Wizard unit connected with this adapter along with a cable release, you would need a second Pocket Wizard unit connected to the flash as well.

Q: 7. Will this work on my Nikon z6ii and trigger my Nikon SB-5000 speedlight?

A: Yes, the PocketWizard PlusX 2 Pack will work with the Nikon Z6 II Mirrorless Camera and the Nikon SB-500 AF Speedlight. You will just need the PocketWizard HSFM3 Flash Sync Cable (3') BH #POHSFM3 to connect the second PocketWizard to the flash.

Q: 8. Will the Pocket Wizard work with a Yongnuo YN560-III without getting two transceivers? The YN560-III has wireless transmitter capabilities but I wasn't sure if these were compatible with that or not.

A: No. The receiver is compatible only with the RF-603 or RF-602 transmitters.

Q: 9. Will it trigger a Godox V860II?

A: This unit is not compatible with the Godox's built in receiver. If you attach a Pocketwizard transceiver to the Godox its possible however it would have diminished capabilities relative to the Godox transmitters.

Q: 10. My question is will the pocket wizard plusx work with elinchrom D-lite 400w/s RX-4?

A: Carlos,It should trigger your strobes. You will need the Pocketwizard cable designed for your equipment. You can find their information on Pocket Wizards site, then order it through B&H

This is a great product to use. I use SB-900 strobes and Alien Bees studio flashes, with a Nikon DS3. Is it expensive? Well maybe but it's worth it if you do portraits. The ability to adjust depth of field without having to rejig the exposure is well worth it. I also use the Sekonic RT-32N (which does not use the TTL channel) so it's not compatible with this (there is a new Sekonic radio that will probably work with this), but that's the fault of the Sekonic product not the MC-9).
