Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the XLR and 1/4" ends for different feeds? Like one is for microphone, the other for listening?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser HMD 26-II-100 uses a 1/4" TRS connection for its headphones and XLR for its microphone.

Q: 2. Can I use it with the Rode Video Micro?

A: Unfortunately or fortunately not. That is made for a MKE 600 a full size shotgun. Also it won't be any better than what the Micro comes with. The Micro comes in a good lyre shock mount that is made just for that mic. Just use the mic as is. It's a great little mic and Rode made sure it has a quality shock mount.

Q: 3. Would this work with the Sennheiser MKH-416?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 Shockmount is designed specifically for use with the MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone. The MKE 600 has a diameter of 20mm and the Sennheiser MKH 416 has a diameter of 19mm. You may be able to use it, possibly with a rubber O-ring, if needed to tighten the fit.

Q: 4. Can you use this with Sennheiser me66/k6 mic?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 shock mount is designed for the MKE600. The ME66/k6 is 2.5mm bigger in diameter than the mke600. It may be tight fit. The Sennheiser MZSK6 is a shock mount designed specifically for K6 microphones, but at this price-point, I would probably go with a different shockmount. Please consider the Rycote Universal Shotgun Mount (B&H# RYUSGM) as it is a better investment.

Q: 5. What size is the thread on this attachment?

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 features a shoe attachment point only. There is no threading available on this mount. There are several compatible mounts available for the MKE-600 mic. The Auray Universal Shockmount DUSM-1 offers a rubber suspension system with shoe mount and 3/8 threading for pole mounting. a href= http://bhpho.to/1gXv7Tw target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1gXv7Tw/a

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the HME26?

A: This windscreen is not compatible with the HMD 26 headset.

Q: 7. What adapter is needed to connect this to a Motu or Focus Rite interface

A: Seenheiser HDM 300 is a 4 pin XLR connection we dont have an adapter to make this work with an audio interface since this is a 4 pin XLR it wont work.

Q: 8. Can this work with any shotgun mic? Thank you.

A: The Sennheiser MZS 600 Shockmount for MKE 600 Microphone is not a universal mount but rather made specifically for the Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone. The MKE 600 has a 20mm diameter which should be considered if attempting to use the MZS 600 with other microphones.

Q: 9. Will this Mic perform PA duties at a sporting event ?

A: Yes, but you would need the unterminated cable (B&H # SECABLEII6) available for separate purchase and you would have to solder on your own connectors. If you are looking for a headset that comes with the capability of connecting to the XLR mic input on a mixer and the 1/4'' headphone output on the same mixer, for connection to a PA system at a sporting event, the Sennheiser HMD 26-600-II-XQ comes with the connectors built onto the cable (B&H # SEHMD266IIXQ) and the Audio-Technica BPHS1 (B&H # AUBPHS1) is also a very popular option.

Q: 10. looking for a headphone like this to use for sports announcer, need 4 pin for clearcom and mic out for mixer. what does the 1/4 connect output and what does the 3-pin xlr do?

A: XLR is the Microphone connector, 1/4 is the Headphone connector.

These are literally my favorite headphones that I've ever owned. You really can't go wrong with Sennheiser. I'm super grateful that I obtained these since they're discontinuing them. They sound more rich than my HD 25 set, and they're more comfortable. I'll keep the HD 25 set for DJ gigs, but these are their slightly classier studio-grade sibling.

I was about to join the gullible consumers club and buy a pair of “Beats” but thankfully I discovered these. These are by far the best headphones I have ever used. The sound quality is simply amazing.

I compared this pair of headphones to V-Moda M100, HD8 Dj and the sound they produce is way crisper especially the mids and highs. The bass is punchy and not too bassy, unlike M100s. HD8 Dj are very simillar but they have a 1khz roll off of about -4 / -5 db which not everyone's cup of tea. Though, HD8 produce the best low bass I have ever heard. There is something magical about it.
