Q: 1. Would the H4N fit in the spot for the recorder and a Rode Reporter Omnidirectional Handheld Interview Microphone fit in the accessories spot?

A: Hi Cameron, The H4N is wider than the H5 and unfortunately will not fit into this case. We do have a custom cut case for the H4N. BH's model is SK3I09074B01. It doesn't look like the rode reporter mic would fit into that case. You could purchase our 3i-1209-4B-C case that comes with cubed foam or you could get our 3i-1209-4B-D that comes padded dividers. Either one of those cases would give the length you need for the microphone and space for the H4N and other accessories.Thank you,Will

Q: 2. I would like to cover the 4 xlr ports since I've been using the mics that come with the Zoom H6. Can anyone tell me where I can purchase 4 xlr port covers that will fit the Zoom H6? Thanks.

A: We are not aware of any compatible covers.

Q: 3. Can you record a mix down of 4 mics rather than or in addition to individual channels?

A: From my experience with the H6, and after looking through the manual, I don't believe you can record a mix-down at the same time as recording the individual multi-track inputs. Nor can you record that mix instead of recording the individual tracks. Once the multitrack recordings are completed, you can set up the mixer and record a stereo mix-down file using the playback of the individual tracks. If you already have a separate stereo recorder, during recording you could use the mixer of the H6 and take signals out the TRS mini Line Output jack on the H6 into the line inputs of your other recorder to capture a mono or stereo mix during the live session.

Q: 4. Any tips on a case (like a portabrace) that also holds two receivers for wireless lavs? I find with the H4N, it's just a precarious jumble of cables, but at the least the XLR inputs came out on one side.

A: Currently, there is not a case available that will house a Zoom H4N and 2 wireless receivers. You may however consider a Porta Brace AO-1X Audio Organizer Case (B&H#POAO1X). The internal dimensions of 10 x 6 x 6 allows ample room for a Zoom recorder, a couple of wireless receivers and more.

Q: 5. Greetings,which are frequency rates of the device and (or) microphones? My university is looking for 20 - 44.000 Hz because of speech - songs, even special songs - for example the Overtone singng ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overtone ).

A: This product is calibrated to record from 20Hz-20kHz.

Q: 6. does this come with a moveable Mic Attachment to the stand? The stand doesn't have anything in the photo.

A: Yes, the mics are supplied with the mic clips which will attach to the stand and will allow to adjust the angle.

Q: 7. Does it have running timecode?

A: The Zoom H6 does not run time code. However, the Zoom F4 and the F8 are capable of running time code.

Q: 8. Does this come with a Lavalier mic? If not, then which Lav mic is recommended for use with the Zoom H6?

A: The H6 does not come with a Lavalier mic. I went with the Sennheiser EW 112P G3-A omni-directional EW system. I've used since October 2018 and so far it's paired perfectly with the H6.

Q: 9. Will the cut out to this case work with the h5n?

A: The H5n is 66mm X 135mm X 42mm and the H6 is 77mm X 152mm X 47mm, so it would be a bit wobbly. You could probably add some foam to make it work

Q: 10. Can you solo all four mic pres during recording and playback?

A: Yes you can solo both during recording and playback very easily by pressing on/off the buttons for each channel. It's one of the best features of the H6
