Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Kawai ES 120

A: Yes, the Kawai F-10H - Single Damper Pedal for Kawai Digital Pianos will work great with the Kawai ES120 88-Key Portable Digital Piano.

Q: 2. It says that the weight of this keyboard is 65lbs, and 83lbs packaged. What is the additional 18lbs of weight? I'm looking to purchase local and then ship overseas on an airplane as a check-in; however the max weight airline companies accept is 70lbs. So would it be possible to repackage it in a safe way in which it won't weigh over 70lbs? Like taking the pedals out of the package and putting them in a separate bag?

A: Unfortunately we cannot open and repackage any products for you. Doing so would void our vendor agreements and the manufacturer's warranty.

Q: 3. Is it portable?

A: Yes, the Korg D1 can be used as a portable digital piano. It is considered lightweight.

Q: 4. Is the F- 20 pedal compatible with a Kawai ES3 Digital Piano?

A: Unfortunately the the F-20 pedal is not compatible with your Kawai ES3 Digital Piano. The correct pedal for the Kawai ES3 Digital Piano would be the F-2r pedal.

Q: 5. the pedal is doing the opposite. It sustains when I don't press and vice versa. What should I do to fix the problem?

A: Your keyboard appears to be expecting the opposite polarity for the pedal. See if there is a switch on the pedal itself to reverse polarity, or if you can change this setting on your keyboard. I would expect that the pedal would work correctly out of the box with a Kawai piano, but who knows if a polarity setting could have been changed. Definitely sounds like a simple polarity issue, though, which could certainly arise out of the box if you are using the pedal with another brand of keyboard, because the polarity convention varies among manufacturers.

Q: 6. Will this work with Kawai vpc1?

A: Referring to the user manual for the VPC-1, it appears that this pedal does provide the connection types that the keyboard is expecting. The VFP3/10 pedal provides a single stereo TRS jack and a single mono TS jack for its pedal connectivity, with contact open at rest.

Q: 7. What is the polarity of this model please? Looking for something compatible with Technics piano with half-damp facility

A: The F10H is an optical pedal so there is no polarity as with a mechanical pedal. The F10H will only work with Kawai keyboards that use optical pedals. The Auray FP-P1L Universal Piano-Style Sustain Pedal, B&H # AUFPP1L has switchable polarity.

Q: 8. With appropriate plug adapter — can this keyboard automatically run on German outlet voltage? Or do you need a power converter?

A: According to the manual for the Kawai ES120 88-Key Portable Digital Piano (Stylish Black), you can use the Kawai PS-129 Power Supply for compatibility in Germany.

Q: 9. What adapter do I need to connect the Korg D1 to GarageBand on a Mac or iPad ?

A: The Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 would allow you to connect the keyboard to both your computer and iPad Pro. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1479275-REG/focusrite_scarlett_2i2_3g_scarlett_2i2_usb_audio.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Q: 10. Is this compatible with a CL20R digital piano?

A: No, this pedal is compatible with MP series pianos.

The pedals that came with my MP-11 wore out, and I tried to buy the F-20 set to save money, but it wouldn't work--apparently only the F-30 will. This is a little frustrating, honestly, since the sostenuto pedal really doesn't come up that often and I didn't feel like I needed it. But it's worth being aware of. The F-30 works fine; the half-damper feature doesn't quite mimic the pedal gradations of an analog piano, but it's remarkably close.

Thanks for fast and proper delivery . The piano is really good, the action is much better than Korg RH3, Casio Privia and Fatar TP/100, fast and impressive trills, it has all the most necessary features, it has all features for using it as a MIDI controller, all sounds are very good, speakers give a sense of real piano

This solidly built triple pedal works very well...my motif rack es does not support the soft function but Sotenuto & damper work great...I think the sustain is on a POTENTIOMETER NOT A SWITCH...VERY SMOOOOOTH and physically quiet...The heavy & well built pedal does not slip or slide around...I prefer the Rack es midi module for my live work but if i ever get a piano software type setup, i'm sure i will enjoy the soft pedal

I did extensive research on digital pianos within this price range and chose the Kawai over it's main competitors, and I am very happy with this decision. I upgraded from a 61 key keyboard so he could practice the pieces he's learning properly (he needed 88 keys). He loves it, he likes the key action and says it's very close feeling to the professional pianos he uses at his lessons.

The light gray looks beautiful! The price for the package was great and well worth it. While the headphones are not the best, they have come in handy when my wife and I need quiet for phone calls or to get work done while my son plays.

The stand and foot pedals were very easy and quick to assemble. Setup and connection to the Kawai app was also easy, and my son really enjoys going through the various piano types/sounds.

Yes, I'm bad but the rest of the family, grandkids included, love it - play it whenever they can! It looks good in our living room, it sounds (very) good and as I'm told, the feeling is like with any real piano! Recommended!
