Designed for 17mm sensors, the Sensor Swab Ultra features special end points to reach the corners and edges of your sensor, a textured surface for greater collection of dust and dirt, and a handle that has been channeled for improved grip and control. The swab also comes clean-room-sealed to ensure quality. The Aeroclipse optic cleaning solution is as effective as Eclipse fluid for cleaning sensors but is not flammable due to having considerably less methanol. Use Aeroclipse solution with PecPad wipes (available separately) to clean your lenses and filters.

A: The kit has compact instructions on a heavy card stock that can be placed in a side pocket. The web site has information as well. The sensor swabs should be used only for the sensor as they are very expensive. Using the sensor swabs, I recommend only wiping from left to right, rather than wiping a second time back right to left, as I found that would carry some dirt back over the sensor. The PecPads and Ewipes are intended for lens cleaning. You could clean the mirror with the wipes but because the mirror is not involved optically in taking your photo I would recommend just using a blower to knock the dust off.

A: We have not yet developed an AEROclipse cleaning kit. When we do, the price be be a bit higher due to the higher price associated with the AERO. So the bottle for bottle swab is not an even exchange. Unfortunately, the higher cost for the chemical formula is the trade-off for the non-flammability which allows for traveling.

A: Yes, it is. If you will be using our new Sensor Swab ULTRA, and you had been using the original Sensor Swabs, use a bit more pressure and more liquid thanyou are used to using. A: So far we have had no problems. I recommend minimal fluid on the swab. The camera manufacturers are very conservative about cleaning methods.
