A: Most Gold Mount batteries will charge on this unit. In general though Anton Bauer Gold Mount batteries require an Anton Bauer charger, but most other brands should charge just fine.

When you mix and match brands the battery firmware is not able to communicate with the charger because they are made by 2 different companies. This may prevent the battery from charging, or prompt the battery to stop charging prematurely, or it might not affect the battery at all. For the best and most consistent results we recommend using batteries and chargers from the same manufacturer.
