Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The photographic illustrations that the shopper sees for this stand may cause confusion. This is for the 'LOW' profile base product. The photograph of the higher, rounded base version should be replaced with the correct photograph. I cannot make a question out of this. I hope that this is helpful to others and I hope that I haven't purchased the wrong product. ?

A: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will get the image fixed asap.

Q: 2. What is the measurement of the tubing thread going in to the base? will it fit the Atlas Sound MS20B replacement base?

A: 5/8-27

Q: 3. OK to add a boom arm e.g. PB21XEB to this? Will mostly use with Shure BLX24 mics.

A: Yes, that boom arm will work with the MS-43E stand. If you will be using a wireless handheld transmitter from the BLX series, I would suggest getting a mic clip such as the On-Stage MY110 Wireless Rubber Microphone Clip (B&H # ONMY110) that can fit a wireless mic in it if you do not already have one.

Q: 4. Is this adjustable?

A: Yes it's adjustable and it extend from 35-63"

Q: 5. how much weight can it hold?

A: It's a Mic stand, it has no problem with an added goose neck and a wireless microphone.

Q: 6. What is the diameter of the base for this item?

A: The Atlas DMS10E has a 10 diameter cast iron base.

Q: 7. What is the diameter of the pipe end for where the mic clip attaches? I am looking to use this for something other than hold a microphone...

A: It is a standard mic thread of 5/8 27 you might be able to find some kind of adapter to some other size though.

Q: 8. Can this stand support Tascam DR-40, if yes what accessory do I need? Thanks

A: Yes, you just need an adaptor for the mic stand to accomodate the standard smaller (camera size) threading on the bottom of the DR-40 BH has them, it's this adaptor below. I've used them with great success. Good Luck(61)On-Stage CM01 - 5/8 27-thread to 1/4 Camera and Microphone Stand AdapterB&H # ONCM01 MFR # CM01

Q: 9. Can I attach a shock mount to this item?

A: Yes the Atlas Sound MS-10CE has a 5/8 tread on it allowing you use a shock mount on the top.

Q: 10. Can this hold a 12LBS isolation filter shield without a danger of tipping over?

A: I have not used any isolation filters, yet. However, as I do own this Atlas MS25 microphone stand, I am absolutely confident that it would support both a 12 lb isolation stand and a heavy condenser mic simultaneously ! I feel reasonably confident that it would also support the isolation filter extended on a boom as long as your boom is heavily counter weighted. It's a great heavy duty stand. I suspect you may have some difficulty moving the stand, with an additional 12lbs mounted, around the room. I love the one I have and intend to buy another.

Microphone stands aren't much to get excited about, but this one is excellent. Very solid construction.

Good size foot print. It would take some doing to knock this one over. Please note the weight. It is unlikely that you will be playing catch with this one on stage.

I needed a heavy stand to hold my Roland sample drum pad. Most stands are made for drummers sitting down. This Atlas is heavy to carry around but it would take a whole lot to knock it over. So, for me it is exactly the right answer. And they are smooth working, beautiful sands. Can't really beat Atlas when it comes to mic stands. But be ready to carry a heavy stand.

I don't ever do reviews. Mainly because nothing I buy is worth the effort. As you can see i have set up the stand for my iPad tablet. I read from it for voice over. Nothing has compared to the weight and stability of this product. Heavy duty and worth every penny. It looks nice too. My microphones are on booms, but they would work so well on this stable stand if needed.

Heavy base and very sturdy stand. The air suspension works perfectly for what it's intended. Gives a cool modern vibe to your setup as well! Be prepared to build muscle if you are traveling with or repositioning it often, ha! Great buy overall
