Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Am I missing something with this tripod and it's shining reviews? The legs seem wobbly and the fluid head seems a bit cheap and jerks a bit if you move too far to the left or the right. Am I doing something wrong or what am I missing?
A: Typically lightweight travel tripods are less stable and less smooth than their bigger heavier counterparts. This tripod doesn't have a ton of reviews so it is hard for us to say why some people have great reviews while others have negative reviews. Here are a few things to consider when putting your experience with the product in perspective. 1. In regards to the legs they are what they are. As long as the locks function properly there is no way to improve the stability of the legs. I do see a review that rave about the build quality of the tripod but smaller tripods are made of lighter weight materials which are often less stable. This is even more true of inexpensive tripods where they often use a lot of plastic instead of metal which can make the tripod feel cheap. 2. Make sure the locks on the head are completely off. some tripods have a dial that enables you to add/subtract resistance but this tripod head does not. it only has a break if you engage it partially it will create jerky movements. 3. most of the reviewers admit that they are not experienced photographers or that they purchased it as a gift for someone. For their needs the Milliboo seemed to meet or exceed their expectations but for you it seems it may have fallen short. For the record your experience would be a valuable addition to the review section to add more context for other shoppers who are potentially interested in this product. We hope to aid people in being as informed as possible about products before they purchase. 4. speaking of being informed if you ever have any questions feel free to reach out to us either through Chat (at the top of the page) or over the phone at 1-800-606-6969 and we'd be happy to help you figure out whether or not the Milliboo tripod is a good investment for you and if necessary help you find an alternative.
Q: 2. Can i shoot in portrait with the fluid head?
A: No. This does not have the option to tilt into portrait position. You can, however, if your camera is mounted within a cage and that cage has mounting threads on all sides, mount your camera in the desired "portrait" position, but we would recommend using caution for such rigging.
Q: 3. Will the fluid head accept a Vixen Style Astromania Deluxe Dovetail Plate Dovetail Rail . The rail is 1.72" at the base and 1.44" at the top?
A: 100% the unit will allow it to adapt to various different types of Dovetail Plate and sizes.
Q: 4. Is the mid spreader removable?
A: Yes, The mid-level spreader in the Benro A573T Dual-Tube Aluminum Tripod & S6Pro Fluid Head can be removed.
Q: 5. Do you have to use the video head when used as a monopod?
A: No you do not. You are able to remove the video head and mount directly to the monopod via a 3/8th screw.
Q: 6. Hello, does it work for dsrl canon t5 and 7D?
A: yes this will work with DSLR camera with a standard 1/4-20 mounting thread
Q: 7. Can it fit on the side of backpack for dslr?
A: That really would be dependent on the backpack you are using and if it has a strap of some kind for a tripod. What we can tell you is this folds up to 16.42 inches and weighs 4.3 pounds. So it is pretty compact and not very heavy.
Q: 8. Does the miliboo MTT601 come with a transport case or bag? (not shown in description)
A: The miliboo MTT601 comes with a carry bag. All of the included items are listed under the "In the Box" section in the overview.
Q: 9. Can I replace the center column and which model (whether Benro or other) 0f short center column is compatible?
A: We do not sell replacement center columns for this tripod.
Q: 10. What is the folded length
A: The folded length of this tripod is around 33 inches.
