Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Where can we get replacement batteries?

A: The Hollyland LARK MAX Duo uses built-in rechargeable batteries, which are not user-replaceable.

Q: 2. What is the cable length?

A: The Hollyland LARK MAX HL-OLM02 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphones have a cable length of four feet.

Q: 3. Can the receiver output both USB-C audio to an Android phone and 3.5mm audio to a camera simultaneously for parallel recording?

A: Although this feature is typical among wireless systems like this and could reasonably be expected, the manufacturer has not confirmed whether the Hollyland Lark Max has this feature and as such we cannot guarantee that it is the case.

Q: 4. Is this one compatible with DJI MIC 2 (2nd gen)?

A: Yes, the Hollyland LARK MAX HL-OLM02 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone is compatible for use with the DJI Mic 2 Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System. DJI also offers the DJI Lavalier Microphone for Mic 2 (B&H # DJLAVMIC), which is available in stock.

Q: 5. Can you use a lavalier from another system, like Sennheiser with the Lark Max transmitter?

A: You can use lavalier microphones from other wireless systems that use a non-locking 3.5mm connector. The transmitters included with the Hollyland LARK MAX Duo 2-Person Wireless Microphone System have a non-locking 3.5mm input and Sennheiser-compatible microphones have a locking 3.5mm input. The locking ring on the Sennheiser mic can interfere with the connection to the non-locking input, so they may not make a proper connection. You can use a mic like the Saramonic SR-M1 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone Cable with 3.5mm TRS Connector (B&H # SASRM1) or the Shure MOTIV MVL Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone (B&H # SHMVL35MM).

Q: 6. Does the Hollyland split internal audio recordings into 30-minute files like the DJI and Rode?

A: Yes. The built-in recorders on the transmitters for the Hollyland LARK MAX Duo 2-Person Wireless Microphone System have 8GB of memory to store the recorded audio in mono WAV files at 48 kHz/24-bit. When the recording lasts for an extended period, the files will be split automatically every 30 minutes. If the storage is full, newly recorded audio will overwrite the older recorded audio.

Q: 7. Any issues with audio drift on the internal recorder? I still have issues on the DJI even after the firmware update.

A: We have not heard of any issues with audio drift on the internal recorder for the Hollyland LARK MAX Duo 2-Person Wireless Microphone System.

Q: 8. Do the solo transmitter offers noise cancellation? If yes, how to know?

A: Yes, the Hollyland LARK MAX Clip-On Wireless Microphone Transmitter does offer noise cancellation which is activated by a dedicated button.

Q: 9. Does this kit include lavaliers?

A: The Hollyland LARK MAX Duo does not include any external lavalier microphones.

Q: 10. When using a single wired lav microphone while recording in Safety Track mode record 2 audio tracks at varying levels?

A: Yes, the Hollyland LARK MAX Duo 2-Person Wireless Microphone System does have the ability to record a safety track to give you recorded audio at two different levels.
