A: Yes Rick, it works controlling the B1 500air, but if you have Canon cameras they have an specialized controller for Canon (Air Remote TTL-C), in my case I'm working with Nikon cameras using that device, but now they have a new TTL controller for Nikon (Air Remote TTL-N). The advantage using an specialized controller is the use of the TTL control on your lights. If you are adjusting the f number on the lens the system changes the power in your lights automatically.

A: Yes, the Profoto Air Remote is compatible with the Sony A6000.

Q: 3. What adapter do I need to mount this Profoto Air remote on.a Sony a6000?

A: Well it does fit but how can you get it to trigger the flash? Is there some special setting on the a6000 or do you need a special hot shoe adapter?

Q: 4. Will this fire the Profoto Pro 10 Air power packs?

A: The Air Remote Transceiver will trigger the pack and allow control over power. It will not have TTL compatibility.

Q: 5. will this work with the newer monolights the b10x, and the A2?

A: The Profoto Air Remote Transceiver will work with the B10x and the A2 but only in manual. You will not have TTL or HSS.

Q: 6. Does this remote control work with the Hasselblad D1x II?

A: This manual transmitter is compatible with any center pin hotshoe.

Q: 7. Do I need to buy 2 of these? One to recieve on the flash and one to trigger from the camera?

A: Two of the Air Remote Transceivers if you are using a flash that is not part of the Profoto Air system. In that case, one unit would be the transmitter on the camera while the other would be the receiver on the flash.

Q: 8. Can I use this on a non-Canon camera to change manual power remotely with the new Profoto B1? I don't shoot Canon cameras.

A: The Profoto Air Remote Transceiver (mfr: 901031) can be used on any DSLR camera that has a hot shoe and in turn will trigger the Profoto B1s flash. No other functions can be performed with the Profoto Air Remote Transceiver.

Q: 9. Does this remote work on the sony a7 series camera? thanks

A: The Air Transceiver is compatible with any camera with a standard hotshoe, including your A7.

Q: 10. I use my V series Hasselblad film camera a lot. Is there a sync cord port that will allow to plug into sync port on the lens?

it's so much less time consuming! Very easy to use, you can manage each light or even by group if you want (Ex: raise the stop for all your background's light at the same time, ...). You have to own one if you have some D1's! 5

Great as a receiver and transmitter should you need to trigger outer than Profoto's.. Plus no interference with rapid fire given it does not TTL, or HSS. 5

Profoto makes great products and this is one of them. I use it on my D1 air & B1 air. They work on both monolights which is good. The variety of channels and frequencies is a great option to have. It is also useful to have the in & out connection on the side if you want to add an on camera flash. Just velcro it to the top of the flash hook the pc cord to the flash sync and the other end to the transceiver and you can operate both. One thing they could beef up is the hot shoe. It should be like the TTLN which is much stronger. Other than that it is worth getting the 2 year warrantee the shoe does break. 5

I have been using Pocket Wizard to trigger my Profoto D1 Airs. They work, but it sort of a pain to attach them to the D1s and you have to replace the AA batteries in each unit peridoically. I decided recently to just get the Profoto remote and reduce the clutter of having 4 Pocket Wizards. The Profoto trigger works great. It's smaller than the PW when it sits on my camera and there are no misfires. I like the fact that the test button is white. It's easy to see. 5

This remote is the perfect match for my D1's. At first you feel it light because it's plastic, but is reliable as everything Profoto does. I have two remotes because you never know an it's better to have a backup. Keep at hand an extra set of batteries because you'll need them if you use it day after day. One little detail that I love about this remote is that the letters and numbers glow in the dark. 5

Just plain out works. Most reliable trigger for my Profoto B1 heads. Just attach it to the top of your camera and shoot. That's it! 5
