The 37mm Neewer MRC Ultra-Slim UV Filter reduces haze and minimizes ultraviolet (UV) rays while improving contrast. Featuring 30 layers of optical coatings and a light transmittance of up to 99.8%, the filter diminishes flare and ghosting while ensuring accurate color rendition. The coatings are also anti-static, oil-resistant, water-repellent, and scratch-resistant. The frame (or ring) of the filter is made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy and measures only 3.5mm in depth when screwed onto your lens.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the Tamron 70-200 mm f/2.8 and the Canon 17-55 mm f/2.8 lenses?

A: Yes, this lens is compatible with both of these lenses.

Q: 2. Is B+H an authorized B+W dealer? I went on the Scheider Optics website and they are not listed as a dealer

A: Yes, B&H is an authorized B+W dealer.

Q: 3. Is this filter still including the plastic case? The other B+W filters come in a bag.

A: Yes, B+W 67mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter comes with a plastic case and protective foam.

Q: 4. Will you still be able to attach the lens hood on a Zeiss Batis 18mm f/2.8 lens for Sony e mount when this B+W uv filter is on the lens? I read somewhere that it couldn't.

A: This filter can still fit while the lens hood is attached.

Q: 5. will this fit and work with the Leica Type 109 with self closing lens cap?

A: I've seen one person over on dpreview report being able to use a thin ring filter with the 109's twin sister, the LX-100 when using the auto cap. Panasonic says filters cannot be used with it. Quite a few have reported it causes the lens to jam as it retracts when powered off. I've read of at least one person saying it caused damage to the zoom, so I wouldn't try it. The auto cover is kind of gimmicky anyway. Many who have it say it still lets in some dust and debris though the slits. I've had multiple cameras for forty years and never lost a removable cap. If that's a concern, buy an extra one. I don't use those retaining strings either. Invariably, it will dangle in front of the lens on that once in a lifetime shot! As for the filter, no complaints whatsoever. Like all the German filters I've used, they're worth every penny. It fits my LX-100 and there are no problems using it with the standard cap when powering off. However, I always power off first, then put the cap on, which you can't do with the auto cap, because that defeats its purpose.

Q: 6. I have a Canon EF-S 15-85mm lens. Would there be any problem using this filter with the lens hood? There is note in the descriptions that mentions it may not work with bayonet-mounted lens hoods. Anyone have any experience using this with a EF-S 15-85mm?

A: I have a 7D with a EF-S 15-85. There is no issue with this filter and the Canon lens hood (either deployed normally or reversed).

Q: 7. Can I screw a polarizing filter on top of this one? Thanks!

A: As the B+W 62mm XS-Pro UV MRC-Nano 010M Filter has 62mm front filter threads (as listed under the Specifications tab), you may use a polarizer filter with 62mm filter threads on top of this filter.

Q: 8. Is this filter still needed to block UV Haze when using a Polarizer Filter?

A: A polarizer already reduces UV haze so B+W 52mm XS-Pro UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M Filter is not needed then.

Q: 9. Would the lens cap of the Sony RX10 mark 3 fit when using this filter?

A: There seems to be a mix up here with cameras. I do not own the Sony RX10. I have the Sony RX100 IV. Perhaps another Sony RX10 owner will come forward to answer your question.

Q: 10. I’m a little confused, do we need an extra aluminium ring to tight the filters to the lens ?

A: If the lens has a front threaded size of 82mm, this filter would fit right into that.
