A: The Leofoto FA14+FA10 Cold Shoe and Hot Shoe Adapter (B&H# LEFA14FA10) can most easily be thought of as having three parts: (1) the silver, L-shaped tool called a hex wrench (or Allen key) to adjust the tightness of the side bolts; (2) the FA-14, which has a proprietary clamp on top (into which the also included FA-10 will fit), a pivioting point in the middle, and an Arca Swiss-compatible base at the bottom with a 3/8" female thread in it (which comes with a 1/4" adapter for that thread); (3) the FA-10, which is a proprietary mini quick release plate that fits into the top clamp of the FA-14. The FA-10 has a standard ISO cold shoe on top of it.
