Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do you know if this will work with a Really Right Stuff lens foot?

A: It is possible that the Kirk LS-1 Lens Support Bracket for Select Lenses will fit an RRS lens foot as they are similar to Kirk Lens feet, but they are not exactly the same. Only by trying it out would you know for sure... You can return it within 30 days if it does not work. Just keep the box and all the accessories.

Q: 2. It works on a turntable?

A: This is designed for video hum. We are not aware of it working with a turn table.

Q: 3. is it possible that this can used with other lenses that have a dovetailed lense plate?

A: I am using the LS-1 with the KIRK replacement foot on my Canon EF 100-400mm L II lens. They work very well together and support my lens at 2 points instead of 1 on a tripod. I find the combination is noticeably more stable than without it. I don't know if you can use this combo on other lenses . You would have to experiment. Kirk makes individual lens supports for specific lenses. For example, they make an LS-2 lens bracket for the new Nikon 200-500mm lens.

Q: 4. Will this work with canon cameras?

A: Yes, the Movo Photo VXR10 Cardioid Condenser Video Microphone is compatible for use with any Canon cameras (as well cameras from other manufacturers) that are equipped with a 3.5mm mic input capable of supplying plug-in power.

Q: 5. What plug do I need to buy for the ARRI Arrilite 2000 Plus?

A: If running a 2000 watt lamp in this Arri fixture, you would need a plug such as the Altman Male Edison Nema 5-20P Connector (20A) B&H # ALEC20M.

Q: 6. What is the maximum sound pressure level?

A: I am sorry but the manufacturer has not provided a specification for the maximum sound pressure level of the VXR10. Most similar style microphones from other manufacturers do not have detailed specifications either. One of the few that do is the Yelangu MIC10 (B&H # YEMIC10) which is rated at 115 dB SPL. I would estimate that the rating for the VXR10 is going to be in the same general range. You can reach out to Movo Photo directly to ask if they can provide you with additional specifications that are not listed with their product information. You can contact Movo Photo by phone at 800-354-1739. They are available Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM PST, Their offices are based in California.

Q: 7. does it have 4K @ 60p?

A: OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mirrorless Camera (Black) BH #OMOM5B doesn't have 4K. It can record in H.264/MOV/MPEG-4 format at AVC DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 24.00 fps [237 Mb/s] and at UHD 4K (3840 x 2160) at 24.00/25/29.97 fps [102 Mb/s].

Q: 8. What external dimmer is used with this light?

A: The Mole-Richardson Molestat 2500 Watt AC Dimmer (120V AC), B&H # MOMSD2500, would be the correct dimmer recommended for use with the ARRI Arrilite 2000 Plus.

Q: 9. What are the minimum and maximum operating temperatures?

A: I am sorry but the manufacturer has not provided any specifications for the microphone's minimum and maximum operating temperatures. I checked specs for other similar microphones made by Rode, Deity, Comica and Polsen for comparison and none of the manufacturers have provided information for operating temperature. We recommend avoiding exposure to extreme hot and cold environments for best results.

Q: 10. Will the Kird LS-1 support the new Nikon Z 100-400mm?

A: Yes, Kirk lists that the LP-70 & LS-1 Lens Support Bracket Nikon Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S , Nikon Z 100-400 f/ 4.5-5.6 VR S lens.

If you are in the market for either a wireless device that allows you to be hands free for camera movement sake or simply want to take pictures of yourself (like I needed to), this product is for you. It's compact and can just about be hidden in the palm of your hand. Simple to use and a great price point for all the things it does. You can use it for single shots, delay, continuous or set it on bulb mode. Comes with 2 cable release cords to fit most cameras. I've yet to find anything wrong with it except that a couple of times when I pressed the button on the remote to take a picture, my flash went off AFTER the shutter had been released.

Great to use plus it could be used on other manufacturer's cameras (nikon, sony) with the purchase of another cable for a nominal amount, so you don't have to purchase another remote set-up.

For getting that perfect shot without touching the camera. I use for wildlife and landscapes. I set up camera and tripod and walk away from the camera, sometimes a couple hundred feet for wildlife. Auto focus. Simple, lightweight and easy to use. 2.4 Ghz works very well.

With this remote you can get those hard to get fireworks shots. Not having to touch the tripod keeps those annoying blurs away in bulb mode. You can also get those great family shots with the remote (I've been up to 30' away) that you get to be in.

I use my remote shutter release for night photography, star trails. Took me a minute to figure it out, but have loved it ever since. Batteries died quickly. Be sure to take batteries out while not in use. Great investment!

I can use this by being away from my camera and has different channels to use when others are busy but I think it could be a little smaller

I had an older version of this with antenna...it worked, but this version is more substantial and no antenna to break off. I use this with continuous and timed to take photos of my pets interacting with me. I get great stories in series of photos (I do not like video...) Plug in the batteries, plug in the receiver and away you go. I had no problems with set up or initial operation. I plan to experiment with long exposures and some night shots in my moonlit woods also. Photography is a hobby and a joy and this remote adds to that fun for me.

This is a great upgrade from the standard wireless remote. No need to be in line of sight anymore. Also, you can take multiple shots as well as timed exposures.
