A: I am using the LS-1 with the KIRK replacement foot on my Canon EF 100-400mm L II lens. They work very well together and support my lens at 2 points instead of 1 on a tripod. I find the combination is noticeably more stable than without it. I don't know if you can use this combo on other lenses . You would have to experiment. Kirk makes individual lens supports for specific lenses. For example,they make an LS-2 lens bracket for the new Nikon 200-500mm lens.

I bought this remote to use for photographing birds. I am able to set the tripod with the camera close to the feeders and be several feet away from the camera to snap ohtos of the birds as they come into the feeder or the water. Since I received the remote I have been able to get some really nice photos of the birds with no shake to the camera. 5

I have coveted a wireless remote shutter release for quite some time and finally after buying a tripod for B&H, checked this one out and decided to buy it. I have not been disappointed. It has an easy set up and the corresponding units communicate easily and well from any direction. While the unit(s) are plastic, that seems to be expected in this day and age. It's a good idea to remove the batteries when not in use for a while. I also love that you can auto-focus with it as well. 5

This product has been very useful so far. The wireless function when it comes to long exposures is great because there is less of a chance that I will shake the camera. The multi function remote is nice too. Another nice feature is you can use the equipment either wired or wirelessly. I look forward to continuing to use this product with my landscape and low light shots. 5

I have recently stumbled into photography about a year ago. I have learned a lot and have become fairly decent at it thanks to B & H and others. I enjoy portrait and landscape photography. The wireless remote is my new best friend. I don't have to sit and wait for the timer to run. Remote has absolutely no delay (of course unless I want it to) I've been able to be over 150 feet from my camera and still take great photos and thats only half the distance it can reach.
