Q: 1. The right controller has a focus knob, I've seen on a video that the knob controls focus on a camera mounted on the RS3 pro, so, what wireless motor do I need to match the handle?

A: The RS3 Pro combo kit comes with the servo motor. Or you can purchase it separately. Please note you would also need the DJI Transmission system to work with the handles. BH #DJTRChttps://bhpho.to/3LF6kt2 DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) BH #DJRSFM2 https://bhpho.to/3fiwFRW

Fast focus with a sharp image. Amazing for wild life photography. It is heavier than the new model but half the price, so it is worth it.

I have been thinking about purchasing this lens for quite sometime now. I wanted the extended capability of the 300mm lens. My wife purchased it for my birthday a couple of weeks ago. I have been very pleased with the lens thus far. It is well built; I find it a bit heavy but was able to shoot hand held with it. I will primarily use it with a tripod however. I would rate the quality as very high. Typical Nikon quality. I enjoy the AF with manual option. No VR is not a problem for me and I like the clarity and sharpness of the prime lens.

I'm an amateur photographer and like this lens a lot. Been using it for months now with Nikon D750 for wildlife. I don't use the auto focus, its tad slow and not accurate enough for me. Lens works great on tripod with wireless remote clicker. In my opinion for the price this was a great purchase for a beginner like me, didn't break the bank and allows me to stay fair distance from raptors, my favorite subjects.

This is my first prime telephoto lens. The difference between this lens and my older zoom lenses is really obvious. I am not well versed in all of the technical aspects of lenses, but I can tell you that the difference in sharpness and clarity is well worth every penny. A year ago I was able to purchase prime lenses in 50mm f1.4 105mm macro and 300mm. I have not had a zoom lens on my D7100 since these lenses arrived. I have used the lens for some really spectacular (by my standards) wildlife photos. I am very, very pleased. Bob H

Wanting to photograph birds in flight without the weight of a 500-600 mm lens, I decided to give the AF-S Nikkor 300mm f/4D IF-ED in combination with the Nikon 2X teleconverter a try. When coupling the 300mm and 2X teleconverter with my Dx camera, the 300mm lens was equivalent to a 900mm lens system without the weight. On days when the light is good, I am able to get sharp, keeper shots of birds in flight with the system. With this much reach, the subject must be in sharp focus to produce keeper shots. I'm planning to visit an area where bald eagles overwinter later today and will give an update with photos of birds in flight when using the combination mentioned above. The quality of my work will speak to the capabilities of the lens, the 2X teleconverter, and my skills.

I was looking for a medium lens to complete the range for bird photography. Reading many technical reviews about the new Nikon AF-S 300 mm f/4E PF ED VR I was very disillusioned, besides for the price, twice than Nikon AF-S 300 mm f/4D IF-ED. Even though the old one has no VR I consider that's no essential for bird hand held photography.

I purchased this 300mm F4 Nikon because it
does not have the issues like the newer
300mm F4E PF lens. With a 14EII teleconverter
and D500, let's go to the Air Show or Bird
Sanctuary. Great lens! Great price!

After purchasing a 1.7x teleconverter for my Nikkor 80-200mm 1:2.8D I was disappointed to find that the new teleconverters do not work with the older lenses. What to do? Sell the old lens? I can never sell them for what they fetch!! SO I decided to buy the new 300mm and I was not disappointed. This is probably the highest focal range Nikkor you can by before getting into the stratospheric prices of the big lenses and I have thoroughly enjoyed it and its performance. Its tack sharp, even with the teleconverter. Focus with wildlife has not been great but also not bad and the picture quality has been excellent. Next time I need to do a little more research before buying equipment but at least, this time, Im enjoying my mistake.
