A: Yes it works with those cameras but it is made to use with a camera that has a battery grip if you want to be able to turn the camera 90 degrees on the tripod head and not have to do much realignment of the shot. The bracket will cover the battery door and also side ports on the camera though.

The SHAPE handles are my favorite of any I have used because they easily change but are rock solid.
