The Polarie Polar Meter from Vixen makes setting up aligning the Polarie Star Tracker faster and easier. It features a large, easy-to-read compass to orientate you correctly, a bubble-level to set up the tripod, and azimuth and altitude scales for proper and precise polar alignment. The Polar Meter attaches to the Polarie's accessory shoe. The Alt scale shows in 1° increments, and the Az scales is in 5° increments.

Q: 2. Is it compatible with the Vixen vmc200L ota?

A: The Vixen Optics XY Dot Finder is compatible with the Vixen VMC200L OTA.

Q: 3. Does it have a dovetail mount? For my Vixen-103 telescope.

A: The Vixen Optics 7x50 Illuminated Finderscope does not have a dovetail and it is only compatible with a few specific Vixen telescopes.

Q: 4. Can this be used with Meade LX-90 12 telescope ?

A: Yes. You will need a 2 Schmidt-threaded visual back though. Most SCTs come with a 1.25

Q: 5. It is possible to ask Vixen to remove battery from scope so that it can be shipped to Singapore?

A: Unfortunately we are unable to do this. My sincere apologies.

Q: 6. is it compatible with HEQ5?

A: This model has not been tested on that scope, but based on the Manufacturer this model will not work on the HEQ5.

Q: 7. Will it fit the Vixen VMC200L Reflector telescope?

A: Yes, The Vixen Optics 7x50 Illuminated Finderscope Will fit the Vixen VMC200L Reflector telescope.

A: Vixen Optics H4x16 ArtScope Monocular (Blue) is about 3.5 inches long and 2 inches in diameter. And weighs about five ounces.

A: The Vixen Optics H8x20 Multi Monocular is 4"/102mm long, 1.2"/31mm wide, and 1.4"/35mm high, and it weighs in at 2.8 oz/79g.

It is working perfectly. No accurate polar alignment is required. Rough polar alignment through the peep hole is fine for focal length from 14mm - 105mm with 30” to 120” exposure. I feel it can push to 105mm and 180” exposure with no problem. 200mm focal length with 120” exposure is acceptable, no obvious star trailing is seen. But considering this is done with NO polar scope, I think it’s fantastic. It is so small that it fits into my camera bag easily. Use only 2 AA batteries. Look and feel good. Expensive but well worth it. 5

This is exactly what I needed--a simple, effective, and portable star tracker at a decent price. Yes, it fits in the bag nicely. The device is very well built. No messing with WiFi connections in the dark and cold as my other tracker requires. There are some trade-offs in terms of carrying capacity and longer exposures are difficult. It is the right balance of attributes for me. Money well spent. 5

This plate REALLY IDEAL match with my Vixen Porta II mount and make possible mounting my OTA Sky Watcher 4.5' Neutonian. Together with Vixen Red Point Finder and Vixen Eyepieces it makes perfect system for visual observation - very simple, convenient, stable. In fact, I purchased completely new telescope for just$! 5

With this star tracker I was able to shoot the January 20, 2019 lunar eclipse using a Sony RX10 IV at base ISO with a longer exposure. 5

The Tripod is a perfect match with my Porta II mount and very stable with my ES AR102. These are my first Vixen products and very happy with their portability. Only draw back was the extremely long wait on the tripod! 5
