Ideal for near and deep-sky observation, Celestron's PowerSeeker 127EQ 127mm f/8 Reflector Telescope features a respectable focal length and a large, parabolic mirror that produces detailed images of the moon, clear views of the planets, and the ability to resolve bright distant objects such as nebulae and galaxies. The scope is outfitted with a 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser and two eyepieces to get new users started, and a 3x Barlow lens that effectively triples the magnification of any eyepiece.

The included manual equatorial mount features slow-motion control cables with large knobs to make it easy to track objects even when wearing gloves, while also minimizing vibrations caused by handling the mount with your hands; and clearly visible indicators on the Right Ascension and Declination axes. An adjustable-height aluminum tripod rounds out the rig with a tray for accessories such as eyepieces, filters, and lights.

A: To connect a Nikon Z series camera to the Celestron NexStar 130SLT 130mm f/5 Reflector Telescope you would need these 2 parts: https://bit.ly/4aUAgxJ and a T-mount adapter such as this: https://bit.ly/48qhxsd.

Q: 3. Is it possible to fit an automatic star finder to this? 5 is a big enough lens to see the hard-to-find stuff. If my kids turn out to enjoy this, I'll probably want to add a tracker. Many thanks.

A: Hello, I'm afraid I can't answer your question, because I don't have an automatic star finder, but I think it has a support to it, In the manual says that you can put automatic things on it, but I'm not sure.

Q: 6. I would like to know what I need to mount my Canon 5D mk III to this Celestron 6se. Thanks!

Q: 7. My powerseeker 127 eq does not come with a latitude lock. What can I do?

A: We are sorry to hear you were missing a latitude locking component. Please contact Celestron Technical Support, so a representative can assist you in getting a replacement part. Their email address is: mail@celestronsupport.com

Q: 8. What can i see with this?, my other telescope is a 40$ scope and i can barely focus on the moon with it. is this able to view stars easy with faint village sized community lights?

A: So it really depends on your sky and the clarity. This is a great scope for the price point. I would recommend not using this where there are street lights. The image will be fuzzy, and distorted.

Q: 9. Will the focal point when connected to my Sony E-mount full frame camera be 1000 mm?

A: Since you will be attaching the camera through the eyepiece port it will not change the focal point.

Q: 10. Is the telescope itself metal or is it cheap plastic?

A: it is metal. overall parts quality is good

Excellent first reflector scope. Plenty of power and easy to track. Only complaint is storage, but a small duffel bag can be improvised.

I have NEVER owned nor used a telescope before the celestron powerseeker 127eq. I am speechless.... throw all the bad reviews and complaints OUT THE WINDOW! Take your time during setup reading the manuel NOT the quick set up and you're worry free. The finderscope mount SHOULD be curved to fit the bigger tubes of the 114 and 127 ( its mass produced to fit the 60-127). Dispite this fact mine is pretty much SPOT ON! I just located the moon and centered it in the eyepiece then tweeked the finderscope a few times to center it up. DONT put the caps back on. Once u line the finderscope up, DONT TOUCH IT and it'll work like a champ. As for the eyepieces... A++ there as well. Maybe I got lucky or living away from light pollution helps but I've had NO problems with getting objects to focus with or without the barlow. You have to remember that the maximum useful magnification is 300. But I'll say again, ALL THE EYEPIECES EVEN WITH THE BARLOW HAD EXCELLENT CLARITY! The only two cons I see are the shakiness of the tripod while focusing or tracking (I'm sure this is common, As I mentioned earlier I've never stargazed through a telescope before). Lowering the tripod completely helps to alleviate some of this. My MAJOR complaint is that all the planets weren't aligned so I didn't have to wait to see them all. A telescope for the beginner.. I THINK NOT!! Use the Celestron powerseeker 127 and become a PRO! And B&H Photo has the BEST DEAL ANYWHERE with price AND added extras for the 127eq. YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!

This is the first time ordering from B&H. Very fast service. Very knowledgeable staff. Quality products. The Celestron telescope I ordered is everything they said it was. I even ordered extra lenset and filters for an even better experience. Fantastic for someone that wants quality and wants to see beyond the moon. The prices can't be beat. Very competitive. Actually less expensive than most. AAA EXPERIENCE. give B&H a try.

I had a Tasco many many years, a "toy" type as a kid. This one is not. I've read more positive reviews then negative ones on the PS 127EQ. The EG mount got my attention as I can keep an object in view without having to lose track of it, just move one control and it stays in your sight. I added a rifle scope and a red dot sight as my finders. If you want to get into astronomy and just look into the heavens once in a while, this is a great "starter" package.

My expectations were really high after reading the reviews but still it was difficult to accept that such an inexpensive telescope could deliver excellent results. It has surpassed my expectations.

I would recommend the celestron or meade 8-24mm zoom eyepiece. I am getting one and it will increase the ability to quickly see any magnification quickly and easily.

You can actually see through the 4mm and 3x barlow that come with it, however of course it is very twitchy due to the narrow field of view.

I have had my powerseeker for 3 years now and have loved every minute of it. living in AZ i can view year round and in the 3 years of owning the telescope i have completed 5 astronomical league observing programs. if you truly take the time to understand this telescope you will fall in love with it potential. now with that being said there modifications needed. 1) replace the view finder with anything else, i replaced mine with a red dot finder from a bb gun. 2) take off the rear cell and place a 3 ring binder reinforcer in the absolute middle to assist with collimation 3) while mirror is off place small springs over collimation screws to helps assist with collimation, trust me it helps. 4)learn how to collimate your telescope-plenty of web videos- i use a cheshire tool or laser 5)join a club or search internet to learn what you can see for me that was the astronomical league--a wealth of knowledge can be learned once you truly understand your telescope you will be awwwed by what you see. I was so in aww that i bought a celestron 8se so i could push the magnification to 200+. so in summary this is a good beginners telescope that i have recommended to 4 friends and they all love theirs. once a month during new moon we go to dark site and enjoy the heavens. happy stargazing GJ

I bought this for my 9 year old son and I to get into some sky viewing. Great images of the moon and saturns rings right out of our driveway. In the middle of summer time Houston. I can't wait to get it in a dark sky location.
