I was pleasantly surprised how compact this device was. It also comes in a nice storage box with that protects it when packing up so I can take it with my computer on the go. Everything works great. 5

I brought a new 2020 laptop pro and didn’t have USB and Memory card slot. So I end up purchase this part and work great. Just one minor issue would be when I pull any usb part the dock would easily pull apart. 5

Since Apple has reduced the number of ports on their new MacBooks you have to find a way to connect your older devices to it. Of all the products I looked at and considered, Xcellons' Portside Dock is far and away the best. Most reviews of other products were littered with problems mainly caused by unexpected disconnection. The Xcellon Dock plugs into both ports on either side of the MacBook Pro with a distinctive click of affirmation, that your devices will remain in contact with your laptop. The product comes in a reusable box with magnetic closure you can use as a nifty carrying case when traveling with your computer. It arrived when promised and was well protected for shipment to my home. 5

I purchased the Xcellon Portside Dock to expand the functionality of my 2020 MacBook Air. Disappointingly, the MacBook Air only provides two Thunderbolt 3 ports for peripherals, one of which I usually have connected to the power supply. In addition, the Thunderbolt 3 ports are not compatible with the older USB connectors that I used with my older MacBook Pro, making it impossible for me to connect my MackBook Air to the peripherals I regularly use with USB connectors. The Xcellon Portside Dock allowes me to connect to my MacBook Air using those older USB connectors. In addition to that, the Xcellon Portside Dock has an SD card slot, which I use to download photos to my MacBook Air. In short, I find that the Xcellon Portside Dock makes my MacBook Air a more versatile and functional machine. 5

I purchased this for my husband's new Macbook Air. It matched the space grey color perfectly and is small and sleek. Does not take up much space. Thus far it has worked fine. I was concerned about some comments that it came out of the connectors easily. I have only found this to be an issue with one of our USB peripherals. It fits so snugly that I lightly hold on to the dock to make sure I do not pull it out. I will purchase one for myself when I upgrade. 5
