Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What happens when grid power is off longer than the UPS battery will last and all connected devices lose power?

A: If the grid power is off longer than the CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFC Sinewave UPS BH #CYCP1500PFCQ can keep your devices on, it will shut down and the devices will lose power. When the power resumes, it will recharge the battery and you will be able to power it up again.

Q: 2. How long can it power a router and modem for if the power goes out?

A: This unit is rated for a full load runtime of 3 minutes and a half load runtime of 9 minutes. It would depend on the power draw of the items you had attached to the UPS.

Q: 3. This unit is rated at 1000W. Is this based on plugging devices into all receptacles or just the battery and the surge receptacles?

A: That unit is capable of a 1000w peak draw.

Q: 4. Does it power on after a power outage and a full discharge, like most commercial UPSs do? (Some consumer grade UPSs don't.)

A: Yes, the CyberPower SX650U Battery Backup System will engage automatically during a power outage.

Q: 5. Does it include with network card?

A: The CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD PFCR does not come with a network card it requires an optional RM card, the optional RMCARD will provide remote monitoring and management over a network.

Q: 6. Can this be used to power strobes as it's a pure sine wave?

A: Yes. As long as your flash head is no more than 720 Watt second. I have tested this UPS with my Profoto Acute2R 2400 power pack with one Profoto Acute/D4 Head. The power pack must be set to the minimum setting of 1/4 power output. Otherwise, the UPS will shut down. Be gentle transporting the UPS to photoshoot locations and ensure the vents near the bottom side panels have proper clearance.

Q: 7. Does this have the two front usb charge ports (type-c and type-a) 3.1A?

A: No, unfortunately this item would not contain any front facing USB type-c, and type-a ports.

Q: 8. If this only backs up 100 watts of power will it last for 10 minutes since it lasts for 2 minutes with 500 watts?

A: The CyberPower ST900U 12-Outlet Standby UPS BH #CYST900U can run for approximately 31.7 minutes at a 100W load.

Q: 9. What are the benefits of having a UPS with pure sine wave as opposed to a UPS with a stepped approximation to sine wave?

A: For most devices simulated sine wave is adequate. However, if you are backing up a device with an Active PFC (power factor correction) supply they require pure sine wave to operate correctly. Active PFC supplies are considerably more efficient than standard power supplies but need a clean input.

Q: 10. Is this safe for air travel? Is it possible for me to take this on an airplane either via checked in luggage or carry-on? I need to take it overseas.

A: Yes the Bescor batteries in question are lead acid chemistry and are safe for air travel. Lithium Ion batteries are the only battery types with flight restrictions.
