Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this recommended for sports or is it better for still subjects?

A: This teleconverter can be used for sports. The 70-200 2.8 lens will have its aperture decreased to 5.6 with this teleconverter on. 5.6 is not as good in low light as 2.8 you just need to increase the ISO to compensate, but it can still be used for sports.

Q: 2. Will this work with the new 400mm f4.5?

A: Yes the Nikon Z Teleconverter TC-2x is compatible with the Nikon 400mm f4.5 Z mount lens.

Q: 3. Is this TC-1.4 compatible with Nikon Z 400mm f4.5 S telephoto lens?

A: Yes, the Nikon Z Teleconverter TC-1.4x is compatible with the Nikon Z 400mm f4.5 VR S lens.

Q: 4. Is this teleconverter compatible with the Nikon 24-200 Z-mount lens?

A: teleconverter is not compatible with the 24-200mm lens

Q: 5. Is this T-ring compatible with the Nikon full-frame D750?

A: Yes this T-Ring can work with the Nikon D750.

Q: 6. Which has better optical quality-the 70-200 2.8 with the 2x teleconverter (140-400mm) or the 100-400 without the teleconverter?

A: Any native lens albeit faster or slower without a teleconverter, will have better IQ. Teleconverters slow down autofocus, reduce light, and add diffraction. In this case, the Nikon NIKKOR Z 70-200mm f/2.8 VR S Lens with the Nikon Z Teleconverter TC-2x applied is inferior to the Nikon NIKKOR Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S Lens.

Q: 7. Is this a 28mm lens or a 28mm equivalent FOV on an APS-C lens?

A: This is a 28mm lens. With the 1.5x crop factor it gives the equivalent of 42mm

Q: 8. After attaching the T mount to my Nikon 5600 I am am not getting it off. How do I get it off???

A: Have you pressed the lens release on the camera and while facing the camera, turned the mount clockwise? If it still does not come off, please log in into B&H Live Chat or contact us by phone 800.606.6969 /212.444.6615 or e-mail sales@bhphotovideo.com. If we cannot help, you may have to take the camera in to be serviced.

Q: 9. Is there a scene mode?

A: Yes under Set Picture Control in the menu you can select options like portrait, landscape, vivid, neutral, etc.

Q: 10. Will this cable work for other applications besides the Panasonic YAGH? I'm looking for regulated 12v power from a P-Tap Vlock battery plate that runs to a camera 4 pin XLR power input. The camera runs well on 12v power. Thanks

A: Yes this can be used on many products that use standard 4 pin XLR input regulated at 12v

I am a Hobbyist Photographer and have found it a challenge trying to change lens while standing up with no where to place the lens or caps. I just received my Captured Lens by Peak Design and tried it in the house. I have it set up on my backpack and feel very secure using it. I admit i will need a little practice setting the lens onto it but found it very easy from the start.

This has made it so much easier to change lenses at weddings and while hiking, I'll never do a photo session without one.

I use this during weddings. I shoot primes this helps with quick change of lens usually 35mm to 85mm. This company Peak Design develops brilliant camera gear by photographers for photographers.

'Form follows function' is fully on display with this product's well thought-out design. I should probably have waited until I had used the device for a while to see how practical and durable it turns out to be, but the design details drove me to review its potential. I have used it under ideal conditions, walking on relatively level ground, and it works as advertised. One is certainly trusting the device with some very expensive lenses. Read the instructions carefully and remember to pull out to turn.

Wasn't sure if this was going to work for me at first. Wanted to find a solution for how I use my primes when covering car shows. The old routine would be to do three passes of all the cars, each time with a different prime (Nikon 85mm f1.8G, Tamrom 35mm f1.8 VDC, and the Sigma 50mm f1.4 ART). Gave it a go this weekend at 5 shows with the CaptureLENS and it definitely worked well, reducing my legwork down to two passes. One pass involves me juggling the 85mm and 35mm and get the shots I want with the other lens as I think about it (rather than taking the backpack off, opening the bag, swapping the lenses and then putting the pack back on). That extra time takes away form the creative flow, this device really solves for that issue. The second pass involves me detaching the CaptureLENS from the clip (with one of the lenses still mounted on it) and walking around just with the Sigma (significantly heavier than the other two lenses). I would not want to have two lenses on it as I walk around, will only do so as part of the lens swapping action. One comment I have is that there is a very slight tolerance issues with the plate attaching the CaptureLENS to the clip, and between the lenses and CaptureLENS. They both rattle ever so slightly but was confident they wouldn't just detach themselves as I walked around. Really glad they included a lock to ensure that the plate can't accidentally be release if knocked. There is a screw adjustment to make the contact rattle less between the plate and strap clip, but no such adjustment (or better tolerances) between the lens and CaptureLENS piece. Otherwise, a great choice of materials and a solid piece of kit.

After dropping a $1500 lens, I know I had to do something different. I didn't want to carry my entire bag when I only needed one or maybe two extra lenses. This was exactly what I needed. It fits the lens just like the camera and safely locks to the camera and/or strap. Very well made and meets my needs very well. It's pricey, but if it saves one lens from hitting the floor, it's well worth it. I use this for real estate and landscape photography

I just received my CaptureLENS a couple of weeks ago, but it is already changing how I shoot. Like many of you, I would try to divide my shoots into ones where I definitely need more than one lens and others where I could force myself to work with a single lens. I did that because it was such a hassle at some locations to carry a bag and then find a place to open up the bag, take off my current lens and put on a new one. That might work well at a wedding, but it didn't work so well at a gym or at a party. That has changed now, since you get the benefit of a bag carrying another lens for you, without the bag and the need to open and close it. The CaptureLENS's clever design lets you securely clip a lens onto your belt and makes changing lenses a breeze. You can use both hands to take one lens off your camera, then one hand to lock that lens onto the CaptureLENS, then one hand to release the second lens, and then one or both hands are free again to put this lens on the camera body. Peak Design has some helpful videos, but the product is very easy to use and is a big convenience. You will be encouraged to use more of your gear since it will be so much easier to access it.
