Far simpler to use than a telescope, the Celestron 15x70 SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars are made for astronomy and offer an easy way to explore the night sky. They excel at long-range terrestrial glassing as well. Extra-low dispersion lenses, multiple coats of antireflective XLT coating, and wide objective lenses combine to produce bright, high-contrast views with accurate color fidelity. Binoculars this powerful require a stable support, so the SkyMaster Pro ED can be mounted on a tripod with an optional adapter. Special eyepiece threads allow the use of 1.25" astronomical filters to improve your viewing experience.

A: In this price bracket the Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Pro Binoculars BH #CE20X81SM • MFR #72031 are ideal...As I said before any magnification over 12X will be impossible to hand hold. A tripod will be necessary.
Q: 2. Can I be viewed moon at the night time.

Q: 3. Can the collimation be adjusted if needed?
A: Yes, however you would need to send the model into Celestron to do this. They would offer this Service.

Q: 5. Everyone is saying that these binoculars are really heavy, however its only 1.5 kg. Does it become very uncomfortable for a binocular, or is there add on weight?
A: I dont consider binoculars heavy. I normally have them mounted on tripod. When not the little extra weight helps steady them. Good buy for the money. I have recommended to a couple friends.

Q: 8. Has anyone had the problem with the Celeston 15x70 Skymaster not being collomated? I saw the procedure on youtube and it does not look easy to do. I really don't want to go through this hassle.
A: Yes, I have this issue. I tired adjusting per the video with unsatisfactory results; I still have a second ghost image. I've used these to observe a model airplane stuck in a tree only. These are not for serious viewing.
Q: 9. Any hands-on reviews of 15x70 ED vs. 20x80 ED, and pros & cons of each? Which is better for astro’ viewing?
A: The Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars are brighter and have more magnification than the Celestron 15x70 SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars, and are better for "Astro Viewing"; users will agree. The biggest challenge using the Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Pro ED Binoculars, is to make sure the tripod that is keeping the image steady is secure.
Q: 10. what finderscope is shown in photos, uh you don't list it as an accessories?
A: It looks like the Celestron StarPointer Finderscope. It does not come with the 20x80 binoculars. I think Celestron put it in their photos to show as an additional accessory you can purchase.
