Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I use IFBT4's with this unit? They transmit at 250mW. Wondering if this can attenuate or handle that kind of power.

A: The Lectrosonics M2C accepts a maximum input of 100 mW per port, so no, they would not be recommended for use together.

Q: 2. I have an Sennheiser EW100 G3 Receiver with a frequency range of 516-558MHz. Will this antenna still work?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver are compatible for use with the Sennheiser EM 100 G3 Wireless Receiver that operates on the 516 to 558 MHz frequency band.

Q: 3. Sorry for the question, but this doesn't look like it has a 2.5mm screw in termination, but it says it's compatible with the UM190. This screw in termination will still work? Just want to make sure before I order it.

A: For the older model UM190 without the SMA screw on antenna connection the Remote Audio ANL5 is an alternative.

Q: 4. Can I use these with an antenna distribution system, instead of the shark fin style? So 4 receivers would be patched into 1 of these antennas...

A: An antenna of this type would not be recommended for a distribution unit. They are designed to be used as a pair with a single receiver, and will not work properly connected to an antenna distro carrying multiple signals.

Q: 5. are these antenna compatible with the XSW Band A iem?

A: The Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver are not intended for use with an IEM transmitter.

Q: 6. Is it okay to keep it in the rain or should the antenna be covered with a plastic bag?

A: The Lectrosonics ALP620 Perforated LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna is not IP-rated; therefore, it cannot be left out in the rain. Using a plastic bag or rain cover to protect it will actually affect the wireless range of the antenna, making it prone to RF interference.

Q: 7. what is the length or dimension of the antenna?

A: The Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver are 13.5" (344mm) long.

Q: 8. can I get it for block 25?

A: Yes. B&H # LEAMJ25 is the Lectrosonics AMJ Color Coded Whip Antenna for Lectrosonics Belt Packs that is for Block 25. We do currently have it available in stock. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/823689-REG/Lectrosonics_AMJ25_AMJ_Color_Coded_Whip.html

Q: 9. are These antennas compatible with Sennheiser G4 EW100 Receivers?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser HALF WAVE DIPOLE Half-Wave Antenna Rods for EW-D EM Receiver are also compatible with EW100 G4 receivers operating within the 470 to 550 MHz frequency range.

Q: 10. Can I plug this directly into an SMV transmitter that's set to IFB mode and get a better signal?

A: Yes, in theory the Lectrosonics SNA600a Adjustable Dipole Antenna's BNC connection could be adapted to the "SMA" type antenna connection on a Lectrosonics SMv transmitter to widen the transmitters output signal.

Works just as described! Very handy for keep track of which transmitter goes to which receiver! However it can be a little bit of a pain in the butt to take off/put on the caps on the antennas of the Lectrosonics UCR411 and UM400A. Same with the Lectrosonics UCR211. But super easy to put on the UM200C!

Well built, not too much, not to little. Comes handy in the bag, when you need to put the receivers in different positions.

This is the Rev A version and it is more robust than the original AMJ antenna. Great for when I mount my Lectro SRb on a small camera horizontal but want to keep the antenna vertical.

This antenna provides a noted improvement to the standard whip antennas that came with my wireless units. Very lightweight and a great deal for the money.

This is a great way to track your transmitters from a distance. They take the guess work out of which unit is which when you're at a distance or you have several on set and need to quickly know which one is which. Highly recommended.
