Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this bag thick enough to fit a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8 vertically?

A: I have the Nikon 70-200 Version 2 and it does NOT fit vertically in this bag. The length with the front and rear lens caps measures approx. 9 long. The depth of the bag is about 8 . I store it horizontally. There's plenty of room in this bag for lots of lenses and bodies. I generally carry at least 2 bodies, a 600mm without the hood(I use a collapsible hood), 200-500, 24-120, 300, flash and other assorted equipment.

Q: 2. Is it possible to get on the plane with this bag and is it suitable for a macbook pro 2019 computer 15? '

A: Yes the Airport Security V3.0 Carry On from Think Tank is designed to meet most USA domestic and most international airline carry-on requirements and it can fit a 15 inch laptop.

Q: 3. What are the dimensions of this case?

A: Any chance that you might look at B&H SPECS ?

Q: 4. Is tipping forward a problem when a laptop is inserted?

A: I have no problem with tipping with a 15 mbp. This may be a little obvious but the lid gets heavy with the laptop in it. Sometimes, in a rush, I forget and just swing it open. This is, of course, user error and nothing wrong with the bag. Unless you have some crazy gaming laptop I believe you'll be fine.

Q: 5. What is the difference between the international and domestic versions?

A: The dimensions of the international case is slightly smaller (14 x 21 x 8 / 35.6 x 53.3 x 20.3 cm) when compared to the dimensions of the domestic case (14 x 22 x 9 / 35.6 x 55.9 x 22.9 cm). However, as stated under the Overview for the item, it's always prudent to check with your carrier prior to departure, as some airlines have stricter carry-on case restrictions than others (there is no one standard, though the accepted standard in the USA is for the case to typically be under 45 linear inches).

Q: 6. Does the nikon Z9 attached to a Z 800 mm vrs lens fit in the TT Airport Security v3.0 carry on?

A: Yes the Think Tank Photo Airport Security V3.0 Carry On (Black) is large enough for the Nikon Z8 with the Nikon NIKKOR Z 800mm f/6.3 VR S Lens attached.

Q: 7. Can this hold a Nikon z9 attached to a z 800mm f6.3 VR S?

A: No the Think Tank Photo Airport International V3.0 Carry On (Black) is not tall enough. The z9 wiht the lens attaches is approxemelty 19 inches. And the case interior is 18.5 inches.

Q: 8. How is the stability of this case on 2 wheels vs the 4 wheel version? Concerned it may tip over easily when standing up like my other 2 wheeled luggage.

A: This bag is very good and does not typically tip over.

Q: 9. Would this roller bag be a good option for carrying a couple of Profoto B1X monolights for location shoots?

A: Yes, the Think Tank Photo Airport International V3.0 Carry On (Black) would be an excellent option for carrying a couple of Profoto B1X monolights.

Q: 10. Has anyone used this to carry a camera and a few lenses but also as luggage to carry clothes/accessories for a 3 or 4 day trip?

A: The Think Tank Photo Airport Security V3.0 Carry On would be ideal to carry camera equipment and clothing on a trip.

Easy to travel with.

Very roomy for such a small rolling bag. As other reviewers have noted, the handle isn't the most convenient, and it isn't the lightest bag out there, but it feels very secure. I love the multiple security options for my wedding work.

I traveled for the first time domestically with the Airport International v 2.0 Rolling Camera Bag by Think Tank. The bag is very well constructed. The bag has very heavy duty padded handles. Pockets are well designed for todays camera accessories. The advertisement shows the bag with a lap top that can be placed on the top of the interior of the bag. What they do not tell you is that you have to purchase a separate set of shorter (in height) dividers in order to fit your lap top inside. I have a 13 MacAir so I was able to squeeze it inside without the accessory dividers but it was a tight fit. I would recommend getting the shorter dividers if you plan to carry a computer larger than mine and a neoprene cover to protect the computer. The zippers have a heavy duty feel. I particularly like the TSA approved locking mechanism that the zipper fits into. The locking cables and straps are all well thought out features. I think this will be an ideal bag for international travel. It comes with a light rain cover which is a very nice addition that is included. Overall, a very nice and well constructed bag.

I own the V2 of this bag which is very similar. Extremely well made as other reviewers have noted - and consequently a little on the heavy side but that is what is takes to protect your gear - and save some heartburn if your bag gets gate checked on a commuter flight as mine has been. If the telescoping handle was made more rugged, as some other users have suggested, it would add more to to the weight of the bag. I did manage to damage mine a bit - it still worked but was baulky to closed - but Think Tank customer service immediately sent a replacement with easy to follow instructions to fit it. They didn't try to pass the buck or blame me - though I suspect i was in fact partly at fault for loading too heavy a bag on top of this one. The built in combo lock and lockable tether are great for peace of mind if you are at an event and can't keep an eye on all of your gear all of the time. Of course it isn't theft proof - what is - but it definitely deters sly pilferage and opportunism.

I take this bag everywhere I go. It holds everything I need and don't need. Easy to load, unload, roll and store. I'm constantly working out of this bag and couldn't be more satisfied. Linn

I've had a ton of camera bags in my lifetime. Some good. Some bad. Think Tank Airport International is a great bag. I'm getting older, love the wheels. My equipment is expensive, love the quality and sturdiness of the bag. My back hurts, this bag rolls like a dream. Plenty of room. I have two. One carries my 400 f2.8 and 24-70 with Nikon 810 and filters. The other carries my 15, 21, 35, 100 macro, 135, 800e and filters. No need for you to hesitate, buy this bag.

I travel frequently and need a really good bad, especially one that rolls, a back pack became increasingly too heavy, especially since I have had one back surgery and facing a 2nd. I have a lot of gear and this bag will hold most if not all. I added the laptop bag and love the fact that it is separate and I can have it accessible easily. I would rather of had a 4 wheel role bag but wasn't not in a position to wait for it to come out -- sure at some point I will upgrade to it.
