I purchased an SSD drive for Mac Pro & got the cheaper drive tray. Spent the better part of the day trying to get the drive to work ,only to discover the tray was not making contact. Returned the drive tray & ordered Transponder Drive Tray & in less than five minutes was up and running. 5

This adapter is heavy duty and extremely well made. The 2.5 SSD fit perfectly and slid right into my Mac Pro drive bay. 5

This drive carrier adapter is simple, well constructed and fit the internal drive carrier/backplane of my Lenovo desktop perfectly. Perhaps best of all, it seems to have no impact whatsoever on drive performance. I'm getting full SATA3 throughput (just under 500MB/s) on the attached SSD. While I found a few cheaper options while researching this product, I'd always been happy with Sonnet's adapter cards in the past - this one is no exception and seems worth the added cost. 5

This adapter tray is high quality, dissipates heat well, and is reliable for use with 2.5 SSDs being used in a 3.5 bay enclosure. Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend it to others. 5

In replacing my dead 1TB mechanical drive with a new Samsung 2TB Solid State Drive, I realized that the two were physically different. A simple stamped sheet metal adapter was in order. My brother who had vastly more experience in PC maintenance told me different. The new SSD was a real heat producer and the Sonnet Transposer Adapter was machined from a solid block of aluminum and also acted as a heatsink for the drive. The adapter & drive came very quickly from B&H . The install took about 2 minuets, everything aligned, the provided screws fit perfectly, combining the adapter and new drive. The assembly slid into place, replacing the old drive. The power supply & SATA wires now plugged into the adapters edge connectors without issues. The PC is back to work. I would recommend this for anyone upgrading to an SSD without hesitation. 5
