Looking for a complete loudspeaker management system to fine tune your PA setup? Check out the dbx DriveRack PA2, a loudspeaker management system that can be controlled via your Mac, PC, or mobile iOS or Android device. Using an optional microphone connected to its RTA input, its AutoEQ function can be employed to listen to your room and automatically EQ it for optimized speaker performance. The AFS (Advanced Feedback Suppression) feature is designed to eliminate feedback while preserving the sound of your system.

In addition to automated functions, the DriveRack has integrated dbx compression and limiting as well as both a graphic and 8-band parametric EQ section. It also features driver-alignment delays and a crossover section that supports full-range, 2-way, and 3-way systems. You can control the DriveRack PA2 directly by connecting from your Mac or PC via the rear-panel USB port, or connect the PA2 to a wireless router via its Ethernet port for compatibility with iOS or Android devices.

The AutoEQ algorithm is designed to ensure an accurate, fast, and nonintrusive automatic EQ experience.
With an optional mic connected to the RTA Mic input listening to your room, the DriveRack PA2 AutoEQ algorithm sets speaker levels and room EQ automatically in a matter of seconds. This means room adjustments can now be made quickly, without subjecting the audience to annoying, lengthy broadcasts of pink noise.

The Advanced Feedback Suppression (AFS) algorithm allows for faster, more precise feedback elimination without adversely affecting your system's tone.
The DriveRack PA2 listens for and anticipates feedback and adjusts speaker output automatically before feedback can start, while never altering your sound.

Wizards make initial set up easy, while ensuring speaker tunings and other settings are up-to-date.
Wizard functions on the DriveRack PA2 to guide you through step-by-step processes to help you get the most from your loudspeaker system. Q: 3. CAn i use this with some Mackie SR1530 Self Powered 3Way Full Range Speaker?

A: The Driverack PA2 is able to accommodate both powered and passive systems with amplifiers. The Mackie will connect via XLR cables. Passive Subs such as the CV218 will connect to an amplifier which in turn connects to this unit. Unfortunately there is no preset available for the Mackie speakers, however the unit can be tuned manually.

Q: 4. Can I configure it with WiFi?

A: By connecting a wireless router to the ethernet port on the back of this device, you can create a wifi network and control it via an iOS or Android app.

Q: 5. can i use crossover settings on full range application 1? which it have only high output enable.

A: Thank you for your question. If you use the high output enable in a full range application you are by passing any crossover settings and it would basically be a line output

Q: 8. I already have a calibrated measurement microphone. Is the dbx branded mic the only one that will work with this unit?

A: The dbx RTA-M microphone is not required and it is possible to use a different calibrated measurement microphone with the dbx DriveRack PA2 Complete Loudspeaker Management System. In the Wizard options menu, for the Mic Response setting, simply select the FLAT option when using a measurement microphone other than the dbx RTA-M. When the RTA-M is used and it is selected as the option for the Mic Response setting, the system's AutoEQ automatically compensates for the frequency response of the RTA-M mic to provide accurate results.

Q: 9. Anyone had luck with this in a basketball gymnasium?

A: Depending on how many speakers your connecting you will need the DBX RTA mic to correct delay from speakers but yes this can be used in a Gym no problem

Q: 10. Can the output be routed to a (Mackie) power amp driving 4 (Electro Voice 10 PA) speakers?

A: The Driverack PA2 features 3 sets of line level outputs, low , med, and high, with adjustable crossover points. These can be routed to any power amp using the proper cables. The unit is also able to output full range from a single set of outputs as well. This is also accessible via the menu.

Great Product. We use mainly for live applications. All you need is your mixer, a Driverack, and your amp/powered speakers. The compression and limiter dynamics are superb. Moreover the other functions Parametric and Graphic EQ, Crossover, Delay, Subharmonic Synth, Feedback Suppressor, and Automatic EQ Functioning brings a new dimension in engineering your sound. It protects your system greatly as well. Can control this specific model using tablet / computer (with a router). Up to 3 Way control but I guess if you need more you can get the 260 or newer Venue series Dracks. More advanced than the PA+. Uses a Frequency Signal Sweep as opposed to Pink Noise....hence, more accurate measurement and settings. Most Definitely recommend this tool for audio engineer/technician. 5

i was planning on buying the driverack PA+ till i saw the PA2 unit. what can i say it is easy to use and setup. you are not stuck standing behind stage having to play with a click wheel, you are able to setup and control everything in the unit from a computer Mac, PC, IOS or Android device, One thing that i would do is get a small router to setup as just a Sound network so you don't get unwanted users controlling your driverack i am using a sec gen apple airport extreme the only con that i have is that it does not come with the RTA measurement mic. 5
