There are some menu settings that you will have to hunt for to enable this, but it is worth it.

Used this battery pack for shooting time lapse sequences during the winter nights. I was the only person in the workshop whose batteries did not expire during the 3 to 4 hour shoots. It is easy to mount on the camera but the batteries are a bit tricky to get in and out until you get the hang of it. It is mostly plastic but this ensures it doesn't add too much weight to the camera setup. Looking forward to trying out the vertical controls. 5

I love the fact that you can use AA batteries and that it has two inserts for 2 canon batteries so I will never have a problem of camera shutting down when I'm photographing all day. Love it!!! 5

I have hung these on three cameras I own. I would not be without one.. I do not baby my equipment, I take it in very harsh places.. After years I only broke the joy stick on one. Though for the most part it still works fine.. Plus I saved a lot of money over OEM. 5

I also have a canon grip for my other Mark III and it is just as nice and much less expensive. It makes the camera have a much nicer feel. I already bought one for my 5DS and I don't even have the camera yet. 5
