Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How do I wire the four conductor cable into a balance signal

A: This mic comes with an unterminated lead wire for connecting to paging system amplifiers. If you want to to terminate this mic with an XLR connection, you would solder the two main cables to the appropriate pins and use the shielding for the ground. Toa has the wiring configuration in the service manual and online.

Q: 2. This would be a purchase made for the intercom system at a High School. Was wondering if you accept purchase orders?

A: You can submit a Purchase Order on our website. a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/federal-gsa-contracts-gov-corporate-edu-sales.jsp/removeMode/all target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/federal-gsa-contracts-gov-corporate-edu-sales.jsp/removeMode/all/a

Q: 3. What exactly is "Remote Control" that is included in the box, it doesn't come with a $1,349 control unit I'm sure? Just wondering what exactly that entails.

A: The included remote resembles and operates like a TV remote. It can control up to 3 cameras and create 9 presets.

Q: 4. Can this microphone plug into a computer like a pair of headphones?

A: No it cannot. The attached cable measures 8.20 feet (2.5 m) and features unterminated lead wire for connecting to paging system amplifiers.

Q: 5. What head set do I use for the wireless / antenna option?

A: Hi Michael, me and friends use Radio Shack 330312 wireless head set mic. It uses a battery like a watch battery.

Q: 6. The description says it hass wireless capability, and it doesn't as is. You have to buy that separately, do you sell the Wireless tuner: WTU-3800 series, WTU-4800 series and also the Wireless microphone: WM-3220 series, WM-3310 series, WM-4200 series, WM-4300 series ?

A: B&H does not offer these optional wireless components.

Q: 7. Can we use this to mount a camera? Are there any accessories recommended for that?

A: While the above item is not designed for use with cameras, you may purchase the Novatron Adapter - 3/8 Female to 1/4-20 Male, B&H # NOA38.2520, the Oben 3/8 -16 to 1/4 -20 Reducer Bushing, B&H # OB1039, and the Barska AF12544 Aluminum Ball Head, B&H # BABJTH, for your usage needs to connect a camera to this item.

Q: 8. Does this amp provide phantom power at 48V? I don't see it referenced in the manual.

A: The Toa Electronics BG-235 Amplifier & Mixer does not provide 48v phantom power.

Q: 9. TOA SR-HS3 recommended amplifier?

A: The Toa Electronics SR-H3S Slim Line Array Speaker - Long & Curved Version uses 360W RMS power at 8 ohms impedance. A compatible amplifier would first need to consider how many speakers need to be connected. In a scenario where one speaker is connected to each amplifier channel, a general rule of thumb is to provide around 20% more power than the speaker's RMS rating from the amplifier channel. In this scenario, an amplifier providing around 450W at 8 ohms from each output channel would be ideal.

Q: 10. The megaphone gives Feedback when in doors is there any way to stop it?

A: Turn down the volume and move away from the walls.
