This 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution monitor has a maximum refresh rate of 175 Hz through the DisplayPort input, which works with the 1 ms (GtG) response time to deliver silky smooth graphics during fast action sequences. The HDMI inputs are limited to 144 Hz and video game consoles may have a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate.

Reduce screen tearing with AMD's FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-SYNC Technology. Both enable the monitor to dynamically adjust its refresh rate to the frame rate being output by the graphics card, thereby greatly reducing screen tearing, stuttering, and other artifacts.

Variable Overdrive modes dynamically adjust overdrive settings as frame rates fluctuate, eliminating ghosting for exceptionally smooth visuals.

The 27" In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel is designed to deliver 16.7 million colors with high-dynamic range, covering 120% of the sRGB gamut for rich visuals. Other features include a 1000:1 static contrast ratio and 400 nits brightness.

Switch between Cinema and Gaming HDR modes to tailor performance according to what you're viewing.

With Dynamic Shadow Boost technology, dark areas are automatically brightened without changing other areas, making it easier to spot enemies hiding in the shadows.

Use the integrated GamePlus hotkeys to enable a zoomed in sniper mode with option night vision, an on-screen crosshair, a timer, and an fps counter along with a multi-display alignment tool.

A variety of presets are available for optimizing the visuals. They include:

  • Racing: Reduces input lag with G-SYNC turned on.
  • MOBA: Enhances the color of the opponent's health and mana bars.
  • Cinema: Cools and saturates colors for more immersive movies.
  • RTS / RPG: Enhances color saturation and contrast sharpness for brighter colors and detailed visuals.
  • FPS: High contrast brightens up darkened areas and shadows to help spot hidden enemies.
  • sRGB: Optimizes colors for surfing the web or editing photos.
  • Scenery: Provides more contrast gradations, making grass greener and skies bluer for slide shows.
  • Flicker-Free technology reduces flicker to minimize eyestrain for improved comfort during extended gaming sessions. ASUS Ultra-Low Blue Light technology offers four different settings to help reduce the amount of blue light that the display emits.

The ROG Strix XG27AQV includes two HDMI 2.0 ports and two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The screen can be rotated 90° to view documents in portrait mode. Adjust the screen's height, tilt, and swivel to suit your comfort. Or use the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting holes to attach the monitor to a swivel arm, wall, or multi-monitor stand.

I am very pleased with this monitor!! It took me a bit to calibrate the settings that are perfect for me but once I settled in with the right settings, everything was perfect!

The viewing angles are excellent, the color on screen while gaming is very detailed, the brightness is *really* up there but its good for those that are into that, it feels sturdy a bit and everything else about it is just about right for me. The ergonomics of the monitor is also excellent and overall: It was the perfect upgrade for me when shopping for a top tier 1440p gaming monitor where I can still do other activities on it as well without breaking the bank. Trust me, you will NOT regret buying this one.

I've owned the XG27ACS over 2 weeks and I am very satisfied with the it. No dead pixels, no noticeable backlight bleed.

The sRGB mode looks very accurate and vibrant without being oversaturated. But you can switch to a variety of different
modes for super brilliant looking colors that are perfect for gaming.

I tested it on the Lagom and Eizo test pages. It did great, I couldn't improve it. It really has been factory calibrated.

It has high brightness, so I turned it down to 15. It's perfect at night with bias lighting behind it.

I've been going on Wallhaven.cc and I literally spent hours downloading over 500+ 1440p wallpapers. I set them to
a one minute shuffle for my screensaver, so I'm constantly being surprised by this screen's beauty.

I have 20/20 vision and I sit 2 1/2 feet from the monitor, text looks clear. I've had no eye strain.

The build quality is very good, the hydraulic stand let's me make small adjustments. It's stable and doesn't shake. The buttons and joystick feel good with precise clicks.

I researched a lot of 1440p monitors, and for $300 it can't be beat. Also the 3 year warranty tells me ASUS expects it to last.

Best 1440p monitor I have purchased over 25 and thus has the best color Accuracy out of the box , the controls are typical of Asus Rog monitors easy to use along with the display widget app you don't really need to used the physical buttons much after initial setup , Gsync / free sync works great , at 300hz the sky's the limit on FPS , shadow boost and OD work great , more then enough finely tuned modes though my default is racing , chrisp colors and dark blacks no ghosting no backlight issues , you can't go wrong with this monitor and other then a oled I don't think you can do better !
