This Two-Axis Hot-Shoe Bubble Level from Negative Supply has a crystal clear housing with two bubbles and mounts onto any camera's hot-shoe mount in either a horizontal or vertical position. It allows you to align the camera precisely on two planes, to keep the horizon line absolutely straight. This is necessary for accurate leveling of the film and camera when scanning, or any other photography requiring fidelity to a horizon line or other straight-line elements.

I picked up a Sunpak Fieldmaster tripod at Goodwill thrift store for $7, but it did not have this mounting plate. To find this locally was a waste of time. Having used B&H before, I went online to easily found this part and bought two. The price including shipping was much less than other's for this item. The built in level bubble is a helpful feature. 5

I already had one of these quick release plates for my camera but when I received a much larger lens for Christmas this year I needed an additional plate for the lens so that I would not have to move the plate every time I changed my lens...Its perfect and makes my photography so much more pleasant. 5
