Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What planets, Moons, nebulas , and galaxies can you see with this telescope. ?

A: A 70mm telescope will showcase most of the Planets. The Moon will be the best view, with all the Major Craters. Depending on conditions, Mars will be able to showcase its poles, & larger areas. The rest of the Planets will all be mostly a white color. Jupiter will be a yellow spot, & Neptune a blue dot. Depending on conditions, Saturn rings may be seen. Pluto wont be seen. Stars availble will be, Polaris,Vega,Antares & Proxima Centauri. Depending on conditions, Orion’s Nebula may show some color.

Q: 2. What carrying cases are available for the Astromaster 90 AZ?

A: The best option we have as a case for this scope is the JMI Telescopes Soft Carrying Case for Tripod Mounts and Small Telescopes. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1DkUqK0

Q: 3. Can you move the mount manually to locate objects ( like you would use o adob) and will it still be tracking the object afterwards? thank you

A: Hi,I didnt try that way, But, after calibrating it will take you to the object you are looking for with good accuracy, but you will need to recenter a little bit; then it will track the object keeping it always in the center of the eyepiece.

Q: 4. Can the OTA be used with a different mount?

A: Absolutely. The OTA of this tube removes from the base of the SE mount easily. You could then attach the 8 Inch OTA to any other mount that excepts a standard V Style dovetail.

Q: 5. Will this product (BH #CEESSFAM70 • MFR #94246) work with BH #CEA11TS70TB • MFR #22126 Celestron Travel scope 70AZ?

A: No, the Celestron EclipSmart Solar Filter for AstroMaster 70AZ or AstroMaster LT 70AZ Telescopes is made for the AstroMaster 70AZ or AstroMaster LT 70AZ Telescopes. For the Celestron Travel Scope 70mm f/6 AZ Refractor Telescope, Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Bundle, use the Celestron EclipSmart White-Light Solar Filter (BH #CEESSF70MM), which can be found at this link. https://bhpho.to/3QcTNRQ

Q: 6. As a beginner, are there any essential accessories I should consider for the base kit?

A: The AstroMaster Accessory Kit #94307 is recommended because it provides two additional 1.25" eyepieces, a 2X Barlow lens, three filters, and a cleaning cloth. This kit will enhance the performance of your Celestron AstroMaster, or most any other telescope. The moon filter will help block some moonlight so you will be able to see more lunar detail. The two color filters (Red and Blue) will highlight features on Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn.

Q: 7. I would like to know what I need to mount my Canon 80D to this Celestron 6se? Thanks!

A: You will need a Celestron T-Adapter for Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescopes #93633-A and a T-Ring for Canon EOS Camera #93419. Sincerely, Garrett at Celestron

Q: 8. What is the limit weight for the astromaster 90az telescope tripod

A: It is advisable to keep the weight limit less than 10 lbs.

Q: 9. Where are the telescopes that are PC Compatible. Or how can I transfer images from a non PC compatible telescope? Thank you!

A: This telescope does not have a camera built inside of it. You would need to either mount your camera you have onto the scope to photograph images. Or buy a CCD Imaging Device. Called the Celestron NexImage Solar System Eyepiece CCTV Imager. Website link to the imager: a href= http://bhpho.to/1Bgb5lc target= _blank http://bhpho.to/1Bgb5lc/a

Q: 10. I currently have an Orion Spaceprobe 130 ST which I am just learning to use. I am taking an astronomy class which uses Celestron NexStar 5 SE scopes, which I really like. I am sure that I will be buying a NexStar in the next year. I really like the idea of the computer finding objects for me while I am learning the sky. Right now, I am trying to decide between a NexStar 6 or NexStar 8. My major interests are deep sky objects and binary stars. I am not interested in astrophotography. I know the major tradeoffs are aperture and portability. Any suggestions for me in guiding my choice?

A: Honestly I would go with the bigger aperture. Especially since you are going to be shooting some Astrophotography. Personally I would do the 8 Model. It's the better option hands down.
