Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this accept both the Paterson type and stainless reels?

A: YesI use it for plastic reels, and the stainless are always smaller, so it should be good for both.

Q: 2. Is there a 18" reel holder for this?

A: The tube is made to accept the film still on the reel so essentially the reel itself is the holder. It can fit up to 10 reels of 35mm film.

Q: 3. Will this fit JOBO 2500 series reels?

A: Yes, the Jobo reels will fit.

Q: 4. how many exposures on this roll? Is it the same as the cotton candy roll, and aiming for 24 exposures?

A: The dubble film Pacific 200 Color Negative Film (120 Roll) is medium format film. As such, it will depend on the medium format camera (or camera back) you are using on how many exposures you will get on a roll. It also depends on how the film is loaded. If you have a 6x4.5 camera, you will get approximately 15 or 16 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x6 camera, you will get approximately 12 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x7 camera, you will get approximately 10 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x8 camera, you will get approximately 9 frames on a roll. If you have a 6x9 camera, you will get approximately 8 frames on a roll. Finally, if you have a 6x10 camera, you will get approximately 7 frames on a roll.

Q: 5. is this film perforated on single edge?

A: ORWO UN54 16mm Cine B&W Film (100' Roll) BH #ORUN54C16 • MFR #UN54C16 is a single perf stock.

Q: 6. Will this work with Jobo style reels?

A: I believe it will. Works with the plastic Patterson reels.

Q: 7. Is there any difficulty in using this Doran Vacuum Action Roll Film Washer for 120 film?

A: There should be no difficulty using this item. After processing, you'd leave your film on the roll, fill it with water, then let the water run as it drains out the front. The thing that has proven to be difficult about most film washers has been the faucet connection, but in the description, it even mentions it's easy to do with most faucets. If your faucet falls under the category of not being easily compatible, a quick visit to a hardware store should solve the problem.

Q: 8. I used this film with Mamiya 645 and Sekonic L-308X-U on a daylight, i sat my light meter to 400 ISO, am following the light meter readings and i still getting under exposed images, what u think is my problem. btw sometimes i push my film but i still not satisfied with the results. (**note** camera is in good condition)

A: I've shot this film twice, once at 800 with no push, and second time at 1600 and pushed 2 stops. The second time around I had better results with contrast and the look I was going for. It's a bit trial and error, but I feel 400 is too low. So try shooting at 500 in daylight if you use with a 85 filter as per CineStill, but honesty I think this is better suited at 800 or 1600 ISO.

Q: 9. Does this washer come with the hose as shown in the image?

A: Yes, the hose is a part of the washer.

Q: 10. Does this load from the side?

A: Yes.

I use this film with my Fujifilm GA645W camera and so far it has been great for indoor lighting as well as flash photos. If you're like me and you can't afford Portra, then this is probably the film for you.
