[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to replace my tried and true Samsung 970 1TB EVO for something a little larger, and a good deal faster which is what I got when I got the Samsung 990 2TB Pro. I am still using my original drive as auxiliary storage for non-essential files and programs, but having everything on my main drive makes things much easier and quicker with game loading and other tasks. I was very excited to be able to get it at a great price and it was super easy to install and load onto the new drive! 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As expected, it is very fast drive. Coming from a 980 Pro it is an improvement but not a huge leap. I'm guessing it is close to max PCIe 4.0 bus and we need to wait for the 5.0 bus drives. I am extremely happy with it and satisfied. I typically only purchase Samsung ssds and NVMe. They have proven to be very reliable and quality product. I highly recommend the drive. 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve always been a fan of Samsung’s NVMe drives and have used 970, 980, and now 990 models. This drive is just plain out fast. I installed Win10 on it and it took a blink of an eye (literally). I had to install it again just to make sure it really did it! The performance is blistering fast and comes with a nice 5 year warranty coverage. Design is thin yet sturdy. The 1tb version good enough for an OS install, software installs, and several game installs. I’ve installed this as my secondary drive to install my games and save documents. Man the data transfers are just stupid fast and how fast it loads games is a game changer. No more waiting like on spinning drives. Im hoping Samsung releases 4tb+ NVMe drives in the future. Definitely keeping Samsung NVMe drives in all of my PC builds. 5

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This drive is blazing fast and a great contender for directstorage implementation in gaming, Forspoken being a game that loads almost instantly on this drive! My one major downside is drive health. In performance mode, the drive seems to degrade its health rapidly. This may have to do with improper nvme drivers and/or the full performance mode. Hopefully, we see updates to fix the health issues. I recommend to stay in the “standard mode” until a fix is implemented. Otherwise, I’m thoroughly impressed! With fast read/write, as well as sequential, believe this drive has great potential for both creative work as well as gaming! 5
