Capture dreamy images with the Black Diffusion Cinematic Effect Filter from Neewer, compatible with lenses with 52mm filter threads. This 1/8 density filter softens hard edges and provides a smoothing effect by reducing contrast and the overall value of highlights. Constructed with optical glass and an aluminum frame, it has 30 layers of nano multicoating for an anti-oil, anti-scratch, and water-repellent surface that can keep your lens safe. In addition, it is slim enough at 3.3mm thickness to prevent vignetting.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Hi! I have a question for you. Might I use the lens rim protector at the same time with my lens hood? I want to purchase it, to use with my Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART

A: The two can not be used at the same time.

Q: 2. What sizes will I need for Tamron 70-300, Efs 55-250, Efs 18-55 ?Thanks.

A: You have to be more clear, there are several versions of each of these lenses and many are different sizes.

Q: 3. Can you still put the lens hood on?

A: No. The typical Nikon lens hood will not fit onto the lens with the lens rim in place. However the lens rim does offer great protection for the longer lens that tends to whack hard objects while I climb to the upper deck of a whale watch boat. Also the lens rim will still accommodate a filter, like a circular polarizer, providing quick easy access to adjust the filter.

Q: 4. Does this fit 500 F4 II? Can you place alternative polarizing filter in place of the supplied i.e. B+W 52mm Kaesemann XS-Pro Circular Polarizer MRC Nano Filter ?

A: Yes, you can use any 52mm rear drop in filters with the Canon 500mm f/4 II lens.

Q: 5. Will this 67mm lens rim fit the Nikon AF-S Nikkor 85mm f/1.8G lens, which has a 67mm front thread and a 80mm barrel (according to the official Nikon specs)?

A: I returned it, a very sloppy fit.

Q: 6. Does this filter fit the Canon EF 600mm f/4 L IS II lens? Thanks.

A: Yes, it will fit and function just fine. This one is the older version designed originally to fit the Version I IS super-telephoto lenses, however, despite the fact that Canon has marketed a newer version II for the MkII lenses, this older MkI is completely compatible.

Q: 7. I have 2 lenses with 55mm threads. Is there any option to get these to work?

A: No, they will not without much modification

Q: 8. Can this 77mm lens rim fit the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD Lens, which has a 82mm front thread?

A: I dont think it will work

Q: 9. Do you have one to fit the Tamron 18-200 lens?

A: hello be care full the lens COVER attached TO THE LENS will not allow you to ATTACH A LENS HOOD

Q: 10. Polarizer filters can vary quite much in quality. Does anyone know who makes the glass in the filter ? Is it Canon ? The convenience of being able to change the polarizing effect by turning a wheel is very nice as opposed to taking the filter out and rotating the metal ring on a metal and glass filter and then putting it back in the lens. That would be very tiring to try to get the polarizing effect you want. It looks to me that you can't change out the glass in the filter if you wanted to and that is the only point that I do not like about this filter.

A: This filter is made by Canon themselves for a variety of their fixed focal super telephoto lenses. The optical quality of this filter is every bit as good as the lenses it is designed for use in. Canon knows their customers and the types of shooters that buy these lenses and the quality they demand, and this filter adheres to their strict quality control and delivers what youd expect of it.

Works perfectly. Note: when turned to the non-polarizing area of the filter, the image remains a bit darker than a clear uv filter. roughly 1-2 stop difference. Not too much of a difference or problem, but good to know in low light areas.

I bought this filter to use on my Nikkor 55-300 zoom lens. I have filters for my other lenses that cost upwards of 5x more than this filter and I cannot find a difference. The tactile feel of the ring when spinning the filter is excellent. It moves with just the right amount of tension and has no wobble as you might expect from a cheaper filter. The polarizing effect is as I would expect from any circular polarizer.I have used Tiffen filters in the past and have always had satisfactory results.

This was just what I wanted for my photography. It does take a few trial and error shots but after that it is so easy to use. I am very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to fellow photographers.

To get good results, use a polarized filter. Colors are much richer than without the filter. It is an all around filter 24/7
